It works beautifully ! I've installed it as part of my smart car project, connected to an Arduino board through I2C. Even with high temperatures inside the car under the Texas Sun, it has been working without any trouble. If need be you can also change the address of the module for I2C. You can find libraries already there for Arduino as well. All in all, this is one of the better modules! Review: Work ok, but frequency varies between modules, and read range only 3-4cm - I have used PN532 from this and other vendors in several projects before. Recently had trouble reading some custom tags, so I bought a NanoVNA to measure the resonant frequency of these modules and the tags. Tested 5 of the PN532 modules and found that each had a different resonant frequency, ranging from 12.6-15 MHz. None were tuned to 13.56 MHz. The read range for the included tags, and a custom tag tuned to 13.6 MHz, is 3-4cm.

Works with Arduino (5v). Flaky (for me) with ES32 (3.3v)
I found this to be rock solid with an Arduino. I was never able to get it working in the ESP32's 3.3v environment, but that could have been user error. Highly recommended for Arduino though.

Value for money NFC tag reader
Good value, reliable and easy to work with

Not for beginners.
Works but documentation is terrible. Couldn't get working except in I2C mode and requires 6 wires when you're provided 4.

Undetectable by Arduino
This board was not detectable by Arduino UNO R3 in the SPI configuration. I have another board which looks identical to this but is made by Hiletgo and it has worked great from the start. I'll be returning this board.
