Amazon Fire 7 Tablet Case, Star Wars Millennium Falcon (Limited Edition)

Great Fit and Color
The color matches the fire perfectly. I was on the fence when I ordered it but I am glad I got it. I love that it is slim fit and not super bulky. I like the feel of it as well, very class and sleek. Recommend this case to anyone. I don’t know how well it would protect the fire if dropped, but we will cross that bridge when we get there

Hate This Case
OK, 'hate' is a strong word. But I really dislike this case, and it's only been about two days of using it with my new Fire 7 (2019). I got the case about a week prior to the tablet, and when I took the case out and was fiddling around with it, I didn't see how this case was going to work to stand up on its own, but I had faith that it would work out. After all, this case was sold by amazon specifically FOR this brand new tablet, and costs twice as much as all the other rando tablet cases out there that you can buy.The PROS are that the color matches perfectly, as you'd expect, given that this case is the 'official' case sold by amazon for this brand new Fire tablet release. The tablet pops into it easily and fits snugly (again, as you would expect). It doesn't add much more bulk to the tablet itself. It has a magnetic flap that auto wakes/sleeps, as most cases on the market do these .As far as protection, not sure. Certainly better than nothing, and with the flap closed, you could knock it around in your purse or bag without worrying about the screen getting scratched. If I dropped it on the floor, would this case help prevent it from cracking? Not sure on that one.But otherwise, the reason I hate it is because it just really doesn't stand up worth a darn. And that's basically what I wanted. (Well... half of what I wanted, I also wanted the screen to be protected from scratches in my purse, so this case DOES accomplish that). There's no little "catch" on the reverse side of the case, if you know what I mean, to hold the "stand" part of the case in place. You have to fiddle endlessly with it to get it to stand, and then worry that the pressure of your finger turning pages or playing a game, will push it over.Right now, I tried to stand it up on the smooth wood of my computer desk, and the back flap just slides and slides, until BONK the tablet is flat on the desk. No standing up. On fabric, you'd have better luck because of the friction, but still not the best. One of the selling points they list for this case is the ability to also stand portrait wise. I find more or less the same concerns, which is that if you fiddle with it you can get it to stand, but if you breathe too hard or look at it cross-wise, it will fall over.So now I'm going to go buy some random case from someone, for half the price, I can probably find one in a cute design, and it will have the little 'catch' to hold the flap in place so it is sturdy, and I'll be happy. I should send this one back, but I already threw the package away. Save half the cost of this case and go buy something that's better engineered.

Portrait stand position is floppy
Lightweight, fits great, has a bit of fabrics feel on some surfaces. It does not work for me. Purchased because it showed it being used standing in portrait pose. That is how I prefer to read, my first fire hd case has that option in a turn and groove stand, both landscape for watching movies and portrait for my reading. This case does stand in portrait but it is floppy even on a table and impossible to pose on my chest while laying in bed! Have not found one like my original

Great screen, Poorly designed sound
The screen is beautiful. I see things very clearly. I believe that the sound system is poorly designed, however. There's only one sound slot on the lower left side and I can't hear music well unless I turn the sound up a lot. In addition, when I put the new case on the tablet, it really blocked the sound. I don't always want to use headphones. Something's not quite right.

It's alright but, costs too much money!
After I purchased this cover I realized that I could've used the cover off of my old Kindle! Same size! It is just a plastic cover for a leather price!

Lovely, sleek case; perfect fit for new Kindle.
This is a great, thin, sleek, attractive case; and it fits the new Fire 7 perfectly. I returned it because I have gripping issues with my hands and thus dropping issues. Would have loved to keep it. Would highly recommend it for the average person without my issues.

Eventually works but stiff when new
Initially I started to return this case because it would not balance the Fire 7 Tablet. It just kept flopping over no matter how many different ways I tried. It seemed to flop close on flat surfaces more than softer surfaces, like a couch. But by about day three, then it finally positioned itself in place. My guess is the more often it's used, the more it'll bend as intended. The problem is it's so floppy from initial use that it seems like it doesn't work. I returned the Fire 7 Tablet because I wanted too many Google options, but I don't hate the case. It's clean and professional. If I'd have kept the Tablet, I would've kept the case though now that I FINALLY saw it hold its intended positions.

Pretty color, matches the fire perfect.
I like the blue color and feel of this case. It is well made and protects the fire very well. I do wish they would change the design and make the top a tri-fold instead of the triangle as it is hard to raise it just a little when it's sitting on your lap. It's still a very nice case and I think it will last a long time. If it was a tri-fold I would have given it 5 stars easily.
