Rock Treads Removable Sole Kit

I bought to mount to my Korkers removable (non-felt) soles. They worked on round smooth rocks in the rivers of the Smoky Mountains. Would have given them a 5 star rating if it isn’t for the fact that you cannot possibly screw each rock tread down totally tight so that they do not spin as recommended by Rock Treads. Most screwed down tight but not all; there are some treads(studs) that freely rotate. It’s like the screws can only go so far and it’s all you can do. That being said, I liberally used all the red lock nut material while installing and coated the screws after mounting allowing it to dry as recommended by Rock Treads for 24 hours. Rock Treads YouTube mounting videos are better than the customer vids I found on YouTube. Best advice is to place the individual treads on the wrong side of your (removable) soles when determining placement to prevent interference with Korkers raised areas built into the Korkers sole. Mark locations then drill and mount on correct side of sole. They held up great for a week of wading the Smoky Mountain streams and rivers. Didn’t loose a tread; some spin freely but remained intact and secure to sole and most importantly I felt like they prevented a lot of slipping and falling and they should last for quite a while as they are scratche up a bit but not worn down at all. Amazeballs in the river. Not so great on ice and mine accumulate snow similar to felt, but to a lesser degree.

I bought these after falling on a slick rock and nearly breaking my hip and wrist. They made a huge difference. I was not slipping and sliding like usual. Installation was easy, just watch their video on YouTube.
