I bought this camera because I wanted a discrete way to watch my front door when I'm away from the house. This, I thought, could sit on my mantle and look right at the door, and not look out of place.After opening the package, my initial impressions was that this should have cost a third what it did. It doesn't have glass. Instead, a thin sheet of cheap plastic sits atop the photo. Pick it up and it feels cheap. It is painted but the plastic feels cheap. It didn't feel like a $120 camera.Okay, so I can live with that. I installed the app on my iPhone and tried to get it working. The app would connect to my wifi and the camera was visible on my wifi, but then things stopped working. For some reason, for the phone and camera to communicate, instead of doing it through wifi or some other signal, Yi chose to use a loud screeching sound. It displays a countdown time on the phone screen, blares a loud screeching sound and you tries to connect. Mine never did. I tried nearly a dozen times and never succeeded.I didn't need any of the smartphone features. All I really wanted to do was have it save files to an SD card that I could check at night when I got home. Because it is strictly app dependent, you can't use it without a phone.Spend your money elsewhere. They sell this camera as being a high-end product but it isn't. It suffers from poor quality and a badly written app.

I bought this hidden security camera last month. Now I have been use this every day. I post two pictures which you can see the quality is very high. Easy to set up. I wonder why there are some reviewer said not easy set up. Now I can watch my baby at home at any time. I also have two roommates. This hidden Camera makes me more safety. The feature which I like the most is Motion Detection. It will send the message to you when someone walk around. You do not have to watch the screen all the time. The battery could hold more than two month if you use it regularly.that is a great product.

Did what it suppose to do for about a month but the description doesn’t tell the truth. The batter should last way longer than 2-3 days.Now after having for a month I don’t even use it anymore and I paid $100 for this thing. Simply because I charge it up completely and after about 48hrs it’s a bad connection to my app and doesn’t seem alerts anymore neither does it allow me to open the live stream on the app unless I plug it up again and start the process over

I am a primary caregiver of a person living with Alzheimer’s. I needed a camera to observe my love one during the night.I chose this because it was inconspicuous.I really like the functions and versification.The down side is it is a battery operated. The battery life is about 2-3 weeks and recharge takes about 24-48 hours. I do have another camera in the room but it does not have a good discreet night vision light.This camera has very night vision and I recommend this for anyone who wants to be discreet.#caregiver #alzheimerscaregiver #carewithme

Too sensitive, battery only last one day, required to disassemble frame to turn power on/off, charge or remove mini ads card. Finally-cheap China crap! Don’t buy it.P.s. probably linked backed to China to spy on your home...

Product quit working third day. Tried to reset per instructions but failed to connect. Worthless.

Overall, for the price, night vision, picture detection, and motion sensors are decent quality.That being said, I ordered the recommended memory cards with this product, and one frame refuses to recognize that the card is mounted preventing it from recording motion events. I’ve re-set the device, I’ve removed and re-inserted the card.... no luck. I’ve tried contacting the seller with no results. So, ultimately, one of these is currently useless to me.The app is slow, frequently lags, and times out. Overall, not currently worth the money in my opinion!

I have two of these and gave son one for a gift. They’re both hanging on the wall and capture movement (even the cats) in the rooms they’re in. I can watch live or review the recorded video. Sound quality is surprisingly good too. Need to order two more. With my personal photos in them, no one even notices them.
