Coolibar UPF 50+ Kids' Surfs Up All Sport Hat - Sun Protective

We tried 6 different brands and fits, and this was the clear winner. Most toddlers don't like to wear hats, and a floppy brim and poor fit are the main reasons. This Coolibar brim is the best because it's constructed like a baseball cap and holds its shape so it doesn't obstruct their vision. The back flap covers their neck and comes up past the sides of the brim so it provides excellent face coverage/ shade. The size adjuster toggle is in an unusual position under the flap, but it works because it won't get caught on anything when the kiddo is running around. This is a great hat for kids with larger heads.

I bought a size large for my 8 year old, who has a big head for his age. The circumference fits beautifully, it's comfortable on him, and it works well in the pool. The issue we are having is that the height of the hat means that the brim slips down so far that he has trouble seeing out from under it.If you're looking for sizing advice, the large fits me pretty comfortably (maybe a little tight, but totally wearable). It fits my 8 and 10 year olds, except that it's too high for my 8 year old.I'm going to give the large to my 10 year old and order a small for my 8 year old. I'll update on how well those fit.

My four year old son takes golf lessons and this hat is absolutely wonderful when he is out on the course. Purchased in size small/medium, it is fully adjustable and protects his neck, ears and face so I don't have to worry about him getting too much sun, especially since we live in the south and he is very fair skinned. Sometimes he is playing golf in 90+ degree heat and when he gets home and takes off the hat, his head isn't at all sweaty. The fabric is light and airy yet very effective at blocking the sun's harmful UV rays. I read somewhere that 1 in 5 little ones will deal with some form of skin cancer when they get to be adults. I wish more parents would take the sun seriously and do more to protect their children. Unfortunately, the selection of quality UV protective clothing and accessories is so limited. Great hat and highly recommended!!! Will be buying one for my 2-year old as well.

Bought 3. First one lasted a year before getting a hole in it. Using the other 2 for this summer, they’re a great size for an almost 10 year old girl for the largest size

This hat is a great product, but the small was way too small for my 6 year old’s head. The sizing says the small fits up to a 9 year old, but not in our case. If your kiddo’s head is in the larger side (I didn’t think my son’s was), grab a large. We reordered the larger size and hope it’ll be just what we need.

I purchased this for my child to wear at home and at the beach. Soft, breathable fabric provides excellent coverage and sun protection. It does not dry quickly if it gets soaked, but otherwise a great outdoor hat for kids.

This has been a great hat for my 3 year old. It says it's a girl's hat but doesn't look like it in the navy color. It has great coverage, dries quickly and my son doesn't take it off so 5 stars. He's worn it at the beach and it's really kept the sun off of his face and neck. For playing in the pool, I'll let him wear this one but for real swimming, I'll stick with the swim lids. He doesn't get the same protection but can swim well with the swim lid. You can't really swim underwater with this Coolibar hat but for kids at play, it's a great choice. I bought him the white one as well and I don't think it looks girly either!

I love the material great for pool day or the beach !! Amazing !!!! It fits my ONE YEAR OLD PERFECTLY THE S/M because it has a little black string that makes the hat adjustable to the kids head ! So that is perfect !!! And my 5 year old fits perfect on the S/M too SURPRISINGLY haha because he has a big head lol . Any way over all I love it !
