Leukoplast Zinc Oxide Tape

Brilliant brilliant I always tape up with micropore tape for long off road trail runs and walks. Bought this for an expedition in Mongolia and boy o boy does it ever stick like glue. Trust me, you will not have an issue with this tape coming off, you cant even get it off in the wash, we crossed countless rivers and this tape held fast like super glue.JUST one proviso, for crying out loud, don't put it over an existing blister as it will rip that blister clean off.But otherwise put it on and forget all about blisters.Its a bit tacky on the outside as well ie the side facing your sock, so to stop it sticking to your sock as well, just cover it with talc when you have it stuck on your foot.Hope this helps

This has proved to be really great for my needs so far. I'm trying to realign my patella and provide support to it through strapping, and need it to be very adhesive, non-stretchy and be able to cope with sweat and water. It's been all these things. Have just done a full weekend rock climbing with my knee strapped up, ending with a sea swim, and it stayed in place with no rolling up at edges or flapping ends at all. I've also been using it on a daily bike commute to work and then it stays on underneath trousers at work without sticking to my clothes. Really good product. The ONLY reason for knocking a star off (and I'd knock off only half a star if I could) is the pretty strong smell of this tape where other zinc oxide tapes haven't had any odour to them. It's not totally unpleasant, just very antiseptic-ish. I will be ordering more of this in bulk when I get to the end of this roll.

I just have to say that this is that dirty, quick fix to any type of minor skin injury. First of all it is great at protecting blisters; 2 layers of this plaster prevents any further damage or discomfort throughout the day. You can apply it to minor cuts with some gauze padding, sticks better than any band aid. Major post op sutured wounds are no problem - just use plenty of gauze padding. This stuff is very sticky - great for staying on, however it can be a nightmare to deal with residual glue on skin: do not apply it on any area with hair, make sure the contact area is as far away from sutures as possible - or you will pull your stitches trying to get this off, better leave more padding around the wound. It lets air through - great for healing, but not so much if your hoping to keep ointment of any kind under it - will seep right through, so pad with some absorbent material. Lastly - if you have injured your hand - it will be very hard to apply this one handed, it takes a fair bit of effort to peel the plaster off the reel evenly - better ask for assistance.This is a cheap and durable alternative to plasters and padded gauze packs, I suggest buying it with a pack of 10cmx10cm 8ply gauze swabs and a disinfectant of your choice.

I use this tape to protect my feet from blisters when walking. Does that job well. Have used other zinc oxide tape but they don’t really stick well. Not this stuff. BE WARNED, this sticks so well that when I peeled it off it pulled skin off. Leave it on until you’ve finished your walk and remove carefully.

Good tape, for those wondering; yes, it sticks in the pool etc. Best to change it afterwards but no issues with staying on during a lengthy splash about

Having struggled with a few supermarkets' own brand Zinc Oxide tape (good for supporting tendons due to its non-stretch nature), I became increasingly frustrated with the lack of adherence to skin.Leukoplast does not have this problem, in fact - at times - it feels like you're having the opposite problem! Having taped two strips to support my Post Tib 5 days ago, this tape was still going strong and will need a good soak to remove and replace.Yes, it is a little more expensive than the competition. But this really is one of those 'get what you pay for' products

I bought this in a last ditch attempt at getting rid of mine and my husbands painful verrucas. We've both tried acid, paint, nail varnish, Bazuka, duct tape, masking tape, banana peel and even dandelion extract (Don't ask).We put a bit of this on each verruca with about an inch or so of tape surrounding it and left it for a few days. When we peeled it off some of the verruca had come off with it. We repeated this every few days and each time more of the verruca came off.It's been 4 weeks and the black dots in all 4 of mine are gone, I currently have 4 tiny holes in my foot but they're no longer painful and 2 are healing up. My husbands was much larger than any of mine about the size of a 10p coin and it's definitely started to shrink. Neither of us have experienced any irritation to the surrounding skin.I'll continue to use this until all of mine are healing up and will post updates as and when.
