BEST waste management device for my needs!
Wonderful device and only $14. Both items are quite sturdy/strong and much better than I expected for $14. The long "poles" are metal and come in segments that screw together. The handles [red/orange] are very thick, strong and rubber-like. The pan/bucket is made of very thick plastic and the swivel works perfectly and is sturdy. Two small holes at the bottom of the bucket that assists in cleaning/hosing off. With these two items [bucket & rake] you do not have to bend over or get yourself dirty. Makes picking up poop a breeze. I was worried that the swivel would be sturdy but my worries were gone when I saw and used the bucket today for the first time. I am very happy with the product and the price. Two weeks ago I got an "animal trap" type [with teeth] poop device and I have found that it is not very useful unless you have a separate bucket to transfer the poop to. Also, the trap-type [that opens & closes] is not efficient in picking up poop that is pushed into the ground - the claws don't get under the stuff. And you can not pick up multiple poops with the claw/trap type. Altho I order many items on Amazon, I don't often do reviews; this device is so good for the money that I am writing a relatively long review.

Works great with help of duct tape
10/1/2019 Update: Going strong after a year and a half of use. Still rate it 5 stars. I like simple tools that help get the job done.I really like the design. My wife doesn't. She finds it hard to unsnap the rake from its holder, especially during colder months when the plastic gets stiffer. She doesn't put it in the holder anymore; problem solved. Also, she is used to another design of scooper and doesn't care for the detached rake. However, several times she broke that design scooper's wooden handle trying to get poop out of ice during winter. Also, with enough use, that design would develop an alignment problem making it more difficult to get and hold the poop.I'm the dog poop disposal manager, so these are the reasons I like this one. I have a medium sized trash container with a step opener for its lid. I put a trash bag liner in it. Each time I change a grocery bag from the scooper, the poop is easily removed and dropped into the trash container with no mess. Also, since the poop is essentially double bagged, there is less to no leakage when removing the trash container's liner for garbage pickup.Regarding the reviews about the handle unscrewing and breaking, I used duct tape at the joints and haven't had these problems over 9 months of use. I was going to deduct a star on the review but thought better because the scooper is only $18 and the cost of duct tape is pennies to beef up the bucket and rake handles at their joints. A stronger handle might increase the cost of the product; leave well enough alone IMHO.I have two dogs, both over 60 pounds. I've used this scooper on pea gravel and grass. Works great in both settings. The shape of the rake is excellent. I find that most times I can flick the poop into the bucket. If I'm dealing with a mess, I use the rake like a shovel and pick it up from underneath. After a couple minutes of practice, I found it very easy to install and remove a grocery bag from the bucket. When this one dies, I'll get another to replace it.

Mostly functional, with 1 quirk
I probably just didn't read the full description but there were a couple of surprises when this arrived.I for some reason expected the rake to be metal. It's not. It is a thick plastic with wide tines. I was very skeptical about the plastic tines. I thought they'd break easily and not have the capability of 'flipping' the poo into the bucket; I thought they'd smear or worse. I've now only had this product for 2 days, so I can't speak to longevity but functionality is shockingly good. I don't scoop poo all winter, I just leave my backyard a mine field and scoop it all up in an hour or two poop-scooping marathon in the spring. Consequently my first use of this was 2 hours of scooping 4 months worth of poo. So far it has held up beautifully and the rake does better than just 'flipping' the poo into the bucket, it doesn't dig into the feces at all! This sounds gross, I know, but if you've ever used a metal rake you know what I'm talking about, when the metal tines dig into a turd and spear it like a skewer and you have to try to kick it off the rake. This does not happen with this plastic rake! Yay! The rake is a positive.I also used plastic grocery bags fixed to the bin as recommended by the packaging for 'hygienic clean-up'. I didn't really care that this was possible when I bought it, however, after the learning curve of how to attach the bags to the bucket so they don't cave in, and 3 successfully filled bags of fecal matter in the trash, I was very excited about the ability to attach a grocery bag to the bucket. It works well for easy and clean clean-up and the bag keeps the bucket clean, so no cleaning up the clean-up tools. Another positive.I also didn't realize the the handles are multiple pieces that need to all be screwed in to make handles as long or short as you want. I figured the bucket would screw onto the handle and the rake would be one piece but in fact each 'piece' the rake and the bucket are each in fact 4 pieces all screwed together. I thought this would be great because if you're like me and it's more comfortable to have a short handle on the bucket and a long handle on the rake, this set-up gives you that option. However, it quickly became annoying, as all pieces are plastic, 100% plastic, so after every couple of poops my handles had loosed and I kept having to stop and re-tighten them. If you clean up after your pet regularly this probably will not be a huge problem. However, it was annoying as heck during my 2 hour poop-scooping marathon.Overall I would recommend this product so far as the bucket is large and holds lots of poo (minimizing how often it must be emptied) and a plastic bag easily attached securely, allowing mess-free cleaning. The rake is plastic with wide tines, allowing easy 'flipping' of poo into the bucket and no fecal skewering. However, the multi-piece design of the handles is annoying as they tend to loosen up and unscrew after a couple of poop scooped, requiring constant re-tightening if you're a infrequent poop scooper and thus scoop lots of poo during a single clean-up endeavor.

Buena calidad
Como ya no dan bolsas de súper, pues no hallo una bolsa muy a la medida, pero ya la uso sin bolsa y lo vacío en el bote de basura. Es ergonómico, de buena capacidad. Se siente resistente. Me funciona.

Perfect tool for cleaning the backyard
Great tool for cleaning the backyard. I have 3 dogs (Bernese, border collie and sheppard/husky x) and during the winter they made good use of our backyard. The snow melted and I did a massive cleanup with this tool. It was excellent. Compost bags fit perfectly, easy to put on and take off, both the rake and bin part are very sturdy and it cleaned everything with ease. Very easy to clean as well

hyper pratique

Excellent product — so grateful for it
This turns the process of picking up poo in the garden from an unpleasant, smelly task into a simple routine procedure. Supermarket carrier bags (we still get them with deliveries) fit neatly over the tabs at the side, and are easy and clean to remove. My only slight criticism is that the handle keeps coming part-unscrewed and I have to repeated tighten it up.
