Used this to successfully repair a broken zipper on a sweatshirt in about 5 minutes following video online (there are several). Saved money and time compared to going to a tailor, and have extra repair pieces and knowledge to fix other zippers next time.

The items in the kit seem to be good quality, but unfortunately I was unable to fix the zipper on my sweatshirt because the plastic tab at the bottom was too damaged to attach the pieces to. I knocked off one star because all of the tiny little pieces were packed together in one bag in a jumbled mess and it was difficult to determine which sized pieces went together. Also, there were no instructions included. It’s pretty much common sense but still it would be nice to have something that at least listed the steps to walk you through it.

To replace zippers

NOTHING FITS TOGETHER. The box came completely jumbled up NONE of the pieces fit together. Most of the zip up bits don't have labels or numbers but NOTHING in this box makes A SINGLE ZIPPER combo. Even mixing the colors - it's like these are the rejects from a pile of pieces that DONT WORK. Even if you manage to get a zipper and a bottom piece together it's IMPOSSIBLE to get the other side of the zipper to go in because the zipper part isn't aligned properly. I'm not new to sewing and have done replacements on serveral zippers and other projects in the past. This "set" is TRASH. WARNING DO NOT BUY if you want to actually FIX zippers. You might find the ONE piece you are missing but for a box of TRASH it's not worth it. 0/5 stars will never buy from again. I tried. I tried several times getting more frustrated with each try. First picture is how it arrived second is after sorting you can tell I got TONS of zippers..not so many zipper ends and almost no pieces for the other side of the zipper. Very disappointing since NOTHING FITS. Third picture is hard to see but the end of the zipper closure literally blocks the other side from going into the closure to allow the jacket to zip. Worthless. Do not buy.

Match the old zipper pull carefully to its replacement or the teeth won't line up. If you don't still have it look at teeth spacing and check another garment for the same spacing to size the pull.

I needed some 12' zippers in size 5. This kit had everything but the raw bulk zipper stock. I am skilled at making things, so making the three zippers I needed was straight forward for me (there are no instructions, but I admit that I did not look online.) I did have to fit the moving 'head' (squeeze it closed) to get reliable zipper closure. The provided tool was functional and I used it, but I have several of these little end nippers in my tool box already. Nice that the kit is complete and has everything you need to repair of create (not including the bulk zipper stock.) I would certainly buy again and recommend

It has all the sizes I needed but this kit generally does not work on jackets. The zippers on jackets have the side slots aligned in the middle of sliding zipper. These sliders have the slot on the bottom, which means the slider does not align properly with the stationary base provided in the kit or with original jacket base. Not worth my time returning. Parts are cheap.

Easy to install, value for money saving you lots of dollars activating all your old jackets with zipper problems.

Bought for some jackets where the zipper tabs broke, was able to replace the zipper pulls in a few minutes, a few reviewers did mention did not fit a #5, I found that the sides of the zippers which slide on the fabric where very tight so i just spread them open a little for the fabric to travel through, work like a charm and zippers are repaired.

The zippers are rusted and easily broken. Not worth the money or product to purchase.

I tried to repair a zipper on a barn coat. It did not work. Was difficult to figure out the best way to do it. Instructions would be nice.Will now be replacing the whole zipper.
