A great reminder
I wasn't looking for this book when I ran across its title but something.about it spoke to me. I've been going though some difficult times, experiencing some difficult things and I was looking for something not along the same scale as a Joyce Meyers or Priscilla Shirer, that's when this title spoke to my heart. If you are looking for an honest, and refreshing look at being a Black woman, or raising one, with a view of how God works in our insecurities, doubt, shame, this 83-page, one-day read is perfect for you. It's full of heart and truly worth the read. Thanks, Angelica.

AWESOME!
Cover to cover took me about 1 1/2 hours, but the content packs a punch. I felt as if I was present to view the events as I read this story. It is very descriptive and organized. At times I empathized so much that my heart felt heavy, but as the story closed, and I followed up with this author, God transformed her life. AWESOME MESSAGE! Very transparent approach to events that are normally too shameful to speak on. Definitely a must have for ministers, life coaches, exhorters, and the like because many ppl are dealing with the hurts exposed in this book, and the biblical way out is presented here.

Inspirational and Uplifting
I went into this box not expecting what I received. I was TRULY BLESSED reading this book during an extremely difficult period of time. She spoke about how we allow ourself as well as others get into our head. Letting them in instead of God we allow Self Sabotage in multiple areas. Praise the lord for his AMAZING Healing and Forgiveness !!!Definitely a good read. I'd recommend it for anyone.

There Is Hope
Many of us struggle with carrying unresolved childhood issues into our young adulthood, which is addressed in the book "Black Girls Don't Cry: Unveiling Our Pain and Unleashing Hope." This book sheds light on the experiences we go through during childhood and how they can continue to affect us as young adults. Our past mistakes often leave us feeling ashamed and unloved, causing us to overlook the unconditional love that God has for us. We tend to forget that God is patiently waiting for us to turn to Him and release our hurts and pains. Once we start to understand our identity in Christ, we become unstoppable, and our self-esteem strengthens.

Needed this!
I won’t say this book is the cure for depression or any type of illness or mental thing someone has going on in their lives but this book gives hope that you’re not alone on whatever journey you’re going through. It’s easier to read or even talk to someone who’s going through the same stuff you’re going through instead trying to explain yourself to a brick wall. And I felt that throughout this short story ( Yes I wish it was longer ) the author spoke to me and guided me to find my own personal connection with God or whatever being or religion you believe in, and put your troubles, heartache and worries into their hands and you will find the light in the darkness.

Needs some editing...
I think the author has been through many traumas, as I enjoyed hearing her explain her thoughts and her feelings. However, it is so choppy. I didn't feel the flow. I think this book could've been written in a different format, and it would have been so much better. I think the author has potential with the right editor! Lastly, I think this should be marketed as a Christian book. I'm not really religious, but I enjoyed reading the verses and seeing how it connected back to the book.

Compelling read
The author’s story of self- discovery and moving past self-imposed fear to greatness resonates with me. I identified with the author’s single parent challenges and wrongly derived perceptions from others. We both survived! Hey, if you need a reminder of the awesomeness of black girl magic please read this book!
