Don't waste your money on a cheap battery lighter: I did and the thing disintegrated within weeks leaving dangerously exposed terminals. This one works every time, has a long battery life and recharges quickly; it costs more than some others but is well worth it, I particularly like the flexible head which keeps your fingers safely well away from the burner. . What a great product.Bought to light my large jar yankee candles and it works brilliantly.It reaches almost to the bottom of the candle jars.The bendable neck means no angling large jar with one hand while trying to light wick.It's very light weight and comfortable in the hand. Safety button cover to prevent accidental ignition is soft enough my arthritic fingers can move it.I've had loads of gas candle lighters which didn't last or I couldn't get gas refill for locally.Beats the long matches hands down.Comes with a small initial charge, usb cable. Is tiny but works.One gripe I wish it had a cover for the head to protect it while it's in (that) drawer we all have. Though it seems sturdy enough.My advice is to keep the box and return it to it after use.

Never had a candle lighter before so to see what they were like I bought two different ones.This one out performed the other by a long way. Held it's charge for a longer period.Will buy again.

Have to slide ON button up until you hear a click and hold it there till candle lit. Don’t take thumb off otherwise the lighter will go out. Have to get husband to do it doesn’t stay lit for me.

Easy to use, can reach wick in large jar candles with ease. So happy with item, wish i'd fould this earlier, saves on trying to refill lighter with gas.
