Excellent.
We've had it for months. My wife uses it every evening. Durable, comfortable, best cushion we've come across (after trying foam in 3-4 varieties). When this one dies, if it ever does, we will replace it with the same product from the same company. Inflates easily and stays inflated.

... mom who uses different pillows to make herself more comfortable after a recent fall
Purchased this for my mom who uses different pillows to make herself more comfortable after a recent fall. This pillow is as described and works well with the inflatable device. She wanted one that she could determine the firmness. Fabric is more comfortable than plastic.

Blessed Relief at Last
I'm 3 weeks post-prostate surgery. I have been using a $100 motorcycle cushion (Airhawk, the best bike seat cushion out there), But, it wasn't doing the job in this case. I think this cushion is well worth twice the price. I believe the negative reviews involve split seams and lack of comfort. I suspect these may be due to people not understanding the correct inflation. When this is correctly inflated, it looks nearly flat! The item in the photo is way over-inflated. If you can't feel your butt just barely touching the chair underneath, the cushion may be over-inflated. You also don't want to drop a 200-lb butt abruptly onto this from 2 feet up; imagine what that would do to your cat. You might find better cushions searching medical supplies for wheelchair cushions, but you'll pay a lot more, I'm sure.

Does not hold air after only a short time of use.
This product was fine for the first several month that it was in use. Recently we've noticed that it is deflating and will not hold air very long. I would imagine that the bladder is defective in some way. Overall we are very disappointed in the product and surprised that Amazon would sponsor the product.

Works as intended (Update: has hole in it)
Don't know what I would do with the hours I have to sit at the computer without this. Simple yet effective. Holds air really well. (Update: Lasted about a year. Now it has a hole in it and won't stay blown up for long. Had to replace it with a non air cushion. Don't even bother.)

I bought this for a long distance flight to help with tailbone pain. I used it a few times leading up to the flight to make sure it would work for my purposes. It seemed to be the right solution for me. Unfortunately, when I tried to use it on my flight it very quickly deflated and due to the tight quarters I was unable to fiddle with it to find the problem. After the flight I discovered that it wasn’t leaking I had just not securely fastened the plug. It was something that possibly could have been avoided but it didn’t succeed in accomplishing it’s intended purpose for me.

Flexibility excels for comfort
I have tried all designs of foam filled (sponge) seat supports, with varying results. They afford some relief, usually. Where the Donut cushion excels is its flexibility due to the trapped air , that in turn adapts to the contours of the chair, and your particular behind. I own four of them and in the beginning tended to overfill the Donut, and that defeats its adaptability. Filling according to the instructions. It will look flat to you, but do not be deceived. Sit on it and adjust the air, more or less, until it feels best.I always carry one into the doctor's office which seem to buy the world's worse chairs. I leave on on my car seat. One on my recliner. The enclosed pump is a joke . Pitch it and use your mouth.

but something wider will be better..
The air pump is plastic and off course it broke..If you are a regular woman with big butt this is not for you..I will keep it because i really need for my coccyx/tail bone pain, but something wider will be better..
