This extracts pins in round multi pin connectors very easily. I used this to remove the side mirrors from my Porsche 944. This takes ZERO effort to remove the pins. If you are struggling or bending the tool, you are doing it wrong. Follow the below steps for flawless pin extraction.1. Pull the wire gently away from the connector (this gives a little room to insert the tool).2. Insert the tool. You only need to push it in about half way at this point.3. Push the wire back into the connector (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP)4. Push the tool all the way into the connector. You will fell a small click as it disengages the retaining clips.5. Press the plunger to push the pin out.Again, if at any one of the steps above you feel resistance, you are doing something wrong!!!

I bought this to replace a different style I had that went missing. I had hoped that being an actual AMP product that it would work better than the off-brand. It works about the same. You still have to jiggle it around a bit, and you will usually bend one of the tabs a bit, but it works as good as the other styles.

Does well for what it's meant for - but not nearly as durable as the higher-end all metal style brands, the shaft connecting the top handle bends very easy, have to have a pretty gentle touch.
