Chiang Kai-shek versus Mao Tse-tung: The Battle for China 1946–1949 (Images of War)

I've purchased several of these series books now. It really just depends upon your level of interest in the subject matter. For this one, what a great visual record of the epic conflict b/t the Nationalists and Communists in the late 1940s. Usual binding, paper. But great images I've never seen (not that I've researched the subject much at all). Really shows the types of weaponry, uniforms, organization, etc. used in these battles. Combat and brutality. Good captions. Would highly recommend if you have just a novice's interest in this particular topic.

The book has some truely valuable photography that most Americans have not seen. It is unfortunate there is not more story behind the photos.
