I bought this costume for myself in a size Large; I'm usually a 4-6 in women's and I do costume characters for parties and special events. I was really impressed. The dress fits great and is good quality for the price. It's shorter on me as I'm not a kid, but still modest. If it didn't have costume velcro closures up the back, and it weren't solid polyester, I'd wear it on a normal day! The wig was also good. I'm not sure what all the complaining was about; it is covered in a hard gluey substance, but that makes it piecey so that it looks like the cartoon. I was able to style it just fine; you just have to shove the pieces around until they move into place on your head. It's not supposed to be like normal, soft hair. And it does have shimmery pieces in it, it's not just blue. The wig was a bit small, not covering my ears like the cartoon, but still covering my hair. I got a ton of compliments and every kid knew exactly who I was when I showed up, running to greet me and give me big hugs.

Costume was perfect! Great quality, solid Velcro, fit was perfect per sizing chart. Durable fabric! We purchase yellow shirt as it is sleeveless :)

My 5 year old loves this Joy dress and wing. The Wig is what nocked off a star. It looks like Joy's hair, which is great, however it is itchy and not very comfortable. The dress is perfect. It is on the thin side, but we live in Florida so it's always hot here. The details on the dress are nice and it has a shine which is good since the character, Joy, glows. My 5 year old is very excited to wear this for Halloween.

True to size & cute. The wig was too stiff and small to be worn but I expected that!

Costume is good. I think my daughter had grown since I've ordered anything her size... Because the Velcro tabs in the back of the dress were snug. The material colors are vibrant, the blue parts are a metallic blue. So adorable. The wig is good. The correct blue and it has little metallic treads through the wig to bring sparkle. My daughter was thrilled! And so we're her friends at school. Thanks.

Great costume for the price! The dress is made of standard thin costume material but it didn't matter because it's cold here on Halloween and she would have needed to wear something under it anyway. Some reviewers said the wig was terrible but I think it was spot on for Joy. If you've actually seen the movie, the wig looks exactly like Joy's hair, down to the sparkle. It did come flattened (obviously) and needed a day or two and a bit of styling to be just perfect but it was easy! Put the wig on something round, facing the right direction and you can easily see the style, with longer bits framing the face area, just like the character. As to the comfort/scratchiness? After reading the reviews, I figured she wouldn't wear it more than 5 minutes but my very very sensitive (as in, "argh! My sock is on slightly crooked!!") 5 year old wore this all day at school and all evening for trick or treating. Overall, a great buy and no real issues!

I ordered this Joy Costume for my daughter. It arrived just in time for the Halloween party, but it was missing the blue wig that the packaged describes is supposed to be included with the yellow dress. Very upsetting. Definitely not worth the price I paid to only receive the yellow dress and no wig.
