Virtual Architect Home & Landscape Platinum Suite

I thought this was supposed to be user friendly. Its not. I looked all over YouTube and found barely anything on this software to help learn it. Its not easy and actually annoying. I have a patio on my house and you can't add one, or a driveway. Its very limited. There are better out there but I guess this is a classic you get what you pay for.

I think this product is cool and easier to use than it looks. Some reviews say that its hard to save, but I had no problem at all. I use windows 7. I enjoy the 3d perspective and love all the details. I love designing kitchens and its really simple to create your own. I also love the different options for bedrooms and all the materials to use. I just use this for fun, not really for professional usage. I love building and designing amazing spaces. It didn't take me long to get the hang of it.

After installation when I opened the program the first time and entered the license serial number, I got this: "ACTIVATION FAILED: Database Query Error".From the company website under support I was directed to Any Tech 365 and they immediately launched into a fast talking sales pitch for their anti-virus software.I checked Google and Duck Duck Go and both stated Any Tech 365 "uses deceptive, high-pressure and fraudulent practices to sell over-priced and unnecessary technical support services".They did nothing to get error corrected and I returned this to Amazon.

Just wanted a simple way to drag and drop and adjust a whole house floor plan that can be modified as desired. There used to be a simple wizard driven program that I used to design and build our house with. This program is not that. Way to complicated and time consuming to operate if that is all you are trying to do.

Adequate for usage

*******WARNING******* Please research reviews on this software and the Company - NOVA DEVELOPMENTI successfully loaded the software but when I went to activate it, I could not get it to take the provided Serial Number. So, to get Customer Service, they do not provide a phone number, instead, they want you to pay extra and purchase the opportunity to speak to their technical support. I think it was $10 for 3 conversations. I was able to send an email, but I received an automated email stating that it would be 2-3 days before they would respond and they do not respond over the weekend. Have you ever heard of such sorry Customer Service and the scheme behind it? I will give them the opportunity to fix the problem but more than likely I will be returning this to Amazon for a refund. Just BEWARE.

This product is somewhat difficult to work with at first. However, I also don't consider myself a tech-savvy individual. I have become more impressed with the design features the deeper I go into the program. I am remodeling a home and am building a detached garage. The tools that are available in this program allow me to develop a game plan and offer a picture as to what the plan will result in.

I researched all the home design software on Amazon and mistakingly chose this one. The product works and really isn't difficult to use. It comes with a great user's guide. It is more advanced so is not for someone looking for a basic program. The real disappointment with this program is the interior design portion. For having HGTV in it's logo, you'd think it offered great choices for design. However, the choices are minimal. This program has 100's of design options - not thousands. You can change the color and finish of furnishings, but not the style. There are almost no decorative accessories and you need to be creative in making a walk-in closet. One bonus is that you can download some additional elements and add to the program catalog.
