Ultra, Large-Sized Aquarium Bio Filter Media (5 LBS)

I used 6 or 7 cylinder biohome for this home made trikle filter to a 5 gallon quarantinetank. It has been 1 month since it has been running. Tested water no ammonia no nitrates no nitrites... Biohome is very porous natural material, excellent product. My only hope is that it doesn't break down quickly. More shall be revealed.

Love this media. Great pourus material for beneficial bacteria to grow and call home benefiting your tanks and the fish that live in it. I have this in my 20gallon sumps and in my two 55 gallon sumps. This is the only media I use!!!

Not bad larger then I thought I have a fx6 fluval filter but fit as much as I could to make it work.

I cycled a 75 gallon tank in a week with these things. Highly recommend them!

Ceramic media is garbage and a gimmick. Do your research but 20-40 ppi sponges will go further than this crap. I have a couple of versions of this media (ultimate, marine, etc) and it's all the same crap, different sizes and colors only. Save your money.

I'm no chemist but my water has never been so steady. Lasts long . Good deal
