Best cameras for me!
These cameras are the best. I have no problems with them & they do what i need. I see everything when i am not even there. I have 3 places i watch and these cameras are my easiest way to not worry or wonder. The cost is reasonable and they work without hassle. I love these! Bought at least twelve of these and i see everything and everywhere. Mounts fast & easy or sits on a table. And pictures of view are great. Nice and clear.

Great camera with a few minor drawbacks
I bought this camera to keep an eye on my pets while Iโm at work. The setup was fairly straightforwardโI had it connected to my Wi-Fi and the Reolink app within about 15 minutes. The video quality is excellent, especially for the price. The 4MP resolution and night vision are clear, and the 360-degree pan is really smooth. Person and pet detection work well most of the time, and I get timely notifications on my phone. First, it only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, which is fine for me but could be a limitation for some. Second, the audio during two-way talk has a slight delay and sometimes echoes. Lastly, while the app is generally good, it can occasionally lag when switching between multiple cameras. Overall, though, this is a solid indoor security camera. Great value, reliable performance.

Yes!
Purchased this to watch my motherโs dog while she was out of the country, as she is elderly. It was very easy to set up. I just plugged it in and downloaded the app. Picture quality is great and I could hear pretty well too. This is worth the money for sure. Easy to move the camera around from the app.

Inexpensive OK camera, no on/off control or way to delete video
First the good. I got this on sale for cheap. So, given that price, I can't complain much. The camera works. It was relatively easy to set up. The quality of the image is good enough. The night vision is passable. The WiFi is ok, though, it does seem to get very slow at times. Its also nice that no subscription fees are required (as with a number of other cameras). Now, the bad. And, there is quite a bit of it. First, there is no way to turn off the camera. For an indoor camera, where occasional privacy is an expected requirement, this a deal breaker. Ultimately, I tossed the camera on a smart plug. To me, this was an unacceptable extra cost. Next, there is no way to delete SOME of the video. Your only option is to reformat the storage (which deletes ALL of the video). This is especially galling since the videos are broken up into segments (5 minutes each if I recall). Would it really be that hard to add a "delete segment" feature? The quality of the software is mixed. On the desktop, using a Windows PC, its not too bad. However, scrubbing through video, to find a scene, is unnecessarily cumbersome. The motion detection is fairly good, and helps in this regard, but it has a few too many false negatives to be entirely reliable. And, as mentioned, basic features like turning on and off the camera and deleting video segments are entirely missing. On my phone (Android), the software is borderline unusable. Take everything that is passable on the desktop version, remove it all, and then you have the mobile version. Its ok for monitoring live video and not much else.

Really great for the price!
Awesome indoor cameras, the motion detection and tracking works great and Iโm impressed with the quality for how cheap the cameras were. I like having wired indoor cameras because you donโt have to worry about battery life and can put them near outlets to leave them plugged in while youโre away. Overall really great cameras would buy again!

Ease or difficulty of setup ...
... depends a lot on what you have to start with. I ran Digi-Watcher for twenty years on a WinMe Dell Dimension with a Microsoft LifeCam that, for most of its life, served no other purpose. Loved it, because it did a common thing uncommonly well: motion-sense, e-mail notification with pix, stored video and sound, etc. It was exceedingly flexible and exceedingly reliable. I could easily disconnect it from the network when I didn't care to be live-streamed. My old Dimension finally kicked the bucket, leaving me with a gap in my indoor home/office surveillance coverage. Enter the Reolink E1. I found it much less flexible and only marginally more capable than my old system, but I finally made it work in a way that suits my needs. I was wary of downloading an app to my phone just to set up another device. I would have preferred to use a browser, but the E1, unlike higher-end Reolink cameras, doesn't support that. Reolink provided a lightweight APK file that asked for only limited permissions, which I found encouraging. I also discovered later that I would use the phone app much more often than I would have expected during my comings and goings. Thanks to the commenter here who advised using an ethernet cable connection to perform the initial setup of the E1. I've got several WiFi networks available to me at this location, and l use them to isolate certain devices and applications from one another. Nevertheless, my E1 couldn't find any of them at first. I needed to connect a cable from the E1 to the desired network and to get my phone on that network at the same time. Afterwards, the E1 was able to connect to WiFi without the wire and to be controlled, of course, irrespective of which network the phone was on. The E1 makes a fuss if a network's password contains any non-alpha-numeric characters. I wasn't about to change that password for one device. Somehow after multiple tries, I got the E1 to accept it. Entering that long password also took multiple tries due to mistyping. There was almost no way to confirm what I had typed before hitting Enter, so I could never be sure of the cause of a failed connection: mistyping, weak signal or something else. (The use of the ethernet cable simplified those possibilities.) To send e-mail notifications when it detects motion, the E1 uses a single e-mail address to send a message to itself! This means that it wants to know your e-mail password! I ended up setting up a new single-purpose e-mail address for the E1. It recommends Gmail or Yahoo(!) (My Thunderbird client receives and categorizes incoming e-mails for multiple accounts all-at-once.) I was accustomed to taking my old camera off the network when I didn't need it, but that's not the easiest option with the E1. It can be finicky about finding the WiFi network later. Now I might just use the PTZ function of the phone app to point it toward a wall that receives no direct sunlight when I am home (and make sure its microphone is off.) This arrangement does not provide the same level of isolation as I am used to, but in casual use it beats fiddling with the network router or disabling a WiFi network extender (for now.) Even so, it sometimes produces dozens of spurious notifications/day due to the sun moving in and out of the clouds. I am reluctant to decrease E1's motion sensitivity any further than I already have. Ultimately, the easiest solution seems to be to place something decorative and opaque (like a hat or a sock or an inverted flower pot) over it when monitoring is not needed. The cover is unambiguous, and it obviates the need to use the app's PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom, though the E1 does not zoom) feature to reposition the camera constantly. It does still seem to โphone homeโ once per night at 2:00AM if nothing else has been going on. So, in the end, I spent many hours setting up my first E1 for the most basic functionality and then configuring it and the network to suit my work habits. If it remains stable, convenient and secure, it will be a good tool. If I decide to add additional Reolink cameras, I'll probably devise a way to connect and disconnect them to and from the network as a group (probably using a network extender with a unique WiFi SSID.)

It works if you figure it out
Ok the quality of this hardware is great. But the whole thing suffer by the software side. During the set up the apps require you to point the camera to join your WiFi network, this IS the suffering part: first the apps do not scan WiFi, you need to type in SSID and password by yourself. Secondly, if for any reason it fail, you need to hardware reset your camera so it will restart the whole set up. Iโm using a latest wifi7 and none of my 4 SSID work, NONE (include 2.4, smart, MLO, and the isolated 2.4). End up I need to use my phone personal hotspot to make it work. However, once it work, then you can go back to the apps and change to your SSID normally. It was only the initial set up fail whatever reason.
