8 Bath Bomb & 9 Natural Bath Melt Recipes Plus Basic Info - No Illustrations or Photos
This book has basic information about oils and butters, such as oil properties (the benefits each can give the skin). The same information is provided for essential oils. There are also prices estimates for those ingredients. The basic process of how to make a natural bath bomb (no emulsifiers) and how to make a bath bomb aka bath fizzy. The bath melts are all natural and contain only oils and butters. She recommends 1 ounce bombs for a regular sized bathtub, which surprised me because others on the Internet use the term bath melt to mean a combination of butters, oils, citric acid and baking soda and essential oils for scent and also say only 1 ounce size for a regular tub. There are 8 recipes for bath bombs and 9 recipes of natural bath melts. The author chooses to not use emulsifiers but states if you want the heavy oils and butters to disperse throughout the bath water rather than float on top the two she recommends are Polysorbate 80 and BTMS. She doesn't say much about those except to say that BTMS is "the most natural" whatever that means. There are no illustrations or photos.I "bought" this book on a day when it was being offered for free. I rate it 4 stars since it has helpful information and recipes at zero cost to me. I did not rate it 5 stars because the book lacks tips and tricks that I have read elsewhere on the Internet (for free after digging). She never mentions if the bath bombs crumble apart the next day what could have gone wrong, or any troubleshooting for that matter. I have not made bath bombs yet but have seen photos online of failed batches and heard of many frustrations. She does not even say people have trouble or give ideas on how to prevent that from happening.

very thorough but no pictures
I have the kindle edition of this book and found the content to e very good in terms of its explanation of the use of essential oils and for making fizzies and bath melts. I would have liked to see the author address adding foaming agents to the bombs for a bubbling bath fizzy and also explanation for the purpose (and possible substitution) of various dry ingredients. The kindle edition of this book doesn't have any pictures... I don't know about the paperback version.

A reasonably good book with no pics or illustrations
This is basically a primer to start a business in bath melts giving different recipes. It oculdhave been a much better book if it had contained illustrations on making the productsand what the final products looked like. That being said I learned about some productsthat I had not previously known about and it is still a worthwhile purchase.especially ifyou want to start your own small business. The reviewer is the author of the new Kindle book entitled: Sex Education For AdultsSecrets To Amazing Sex and Happily Ever After Too

great recipes for fun bath stuff
I've been wondering about making my own bath products and this book is all I'm going to need to make what I want to. Bath products are so expensive that this will be a great way to indulge in the tub.

Good for beginners
Informative and easy to follow. Very in depth about the different types of oils and ingredients used to make these bath treats. Short and to the point. There aren't any pictures in the book either.

Rub-a-dub-dub, I'm making soap for my tub.
After signing up for Soap Making Class, I figured might as well research a little. Excellent book with down to earth wording, you need not be a chemist. Great recipes for different conditions. The only negative one has will be the missing page numbers even though the table of contents is numbered. Wonderful book especially if just starting out as a hobby or just for kicks and giggles.

A good introduction to Melts & Bombs
A good introduction to the basics of melts and bombs. This book explains the benefits and properties (and even guidline prices) of the various oils, butters and fragrances so that you can experiment further. There's a good variety of 'recipes' to start you off. It gives clear and uncomplicated instructions. Can't wait to actually make the bombs and melts.
