I purchased these to replace an almost identical product. The only real difference is this one can cycle through light effects (button on the plug that says 'press') whereas the predecessor was a steady on and that was it. I use these for lighting in my living room as there is no overhead lighting otherwise.I have attached pictures. The first is from before I hung the new string of lights. In this photo the string I replaced is on the right - note how dim it is compared to the string on the left. The less luminous right side is after 4 years of regular use. The lights have dimmed, which is why I purchased a new set. Photo 2 you can see the new lights up and they look great.The lights came rolled on a plastic wheel, which made installation a breeze. No tangling. No fuss. (Friendly reminder: always remember to plug your lights in right out of the box prior to install to make sure they work.)I hope I will get at least 4 good years out of these. For the price (about $26) I feel this is a great deal. I see no real surge in my electric bill using these and since I am often nocturnal they will see many hours of use.Please note, I only use these when it is overcast out or at night. Daytime when it is bright I just open my curtains. This may sound obvious, but I mention this because these lights are not a direct overhead light and therefore do not emit as much light. So don't expect this to take the place of daylight bulbs or fluorescents. The first 2 photos were taken with my daylight bulbs in the kitchen (left of photo, open floorplan) on. The third photo was taken with the kitchen lights off.I find that these lights prevent eye strain and have reduced my instances of headaches.I also noticed they remember the last light setting used even if unplugged and plugged back in. The other string of lights currently up alongside it does not hold the last setting and has to be reset everytime (a mild but chronic annoyance). So I am very pleased that this set will not require constant resetting everytime I plug them in.I use those removable 3M hooks to hang the lights. Occasionally the hooks come off (especially in hot humid summers) and a sections falls. So if you don't mind putting little screw-in hooks in your walls I'd recommend that. I rent so I try to never put holes in walls where and when I can.If you're on the fence about these the last bit I can offer is this: I find this type of lighting extremely comforting and relaxing. This helps with my depression and anxiety, which was not something I expected but am incredibly grateful for.

The media could not be loaded.  It looks beautiful in my nursery! 165 ft was perfect for a 12x12 room. I started with the lights going all the way around the room and THEN I did the zig zag from one side to the other. I put a thumbtack in the middle of each zig zag so it wouldn’t hang down as much. (Don’t want the ceiling fan to catch) It has 8 modes and NO off button. So I’m assuming it is on a set timer. I just unplug it or click off the power bank it’s connected to. That is my only downside but other than that, These lights are PERFECT!!!!!! I love them so much!!!!! Highly recommend 💯

These have been on almost every night for 2 years and work great just like the day I bought em. Makes the room a it more than candle-light brightness. Not too bright for movie night but plenty bright to make a sandwich or go find the bathroom. Really helps wind-down at the end of the day.

Absolutely gorgeous!!! These are exactly what I was wanting! Only issue I had with them was the wiring on a couple lights pulled out while installing.

I ordered two rolls of these for our back yard in Aug 2020. I strung them in a circle, from tree to tree, creating overhead light around the back yard. I turn them on take our dogs outside, and they stay on for several hours every night. It also adds ambient light for outdoor entertaining. They have survived high winds, rain, & snow ice for the past 8 months.When they finally die, I will gladly order more!!!UPDATE:... AND ORDER I DID! One of the strands met it's demise to a large rubber duck, chucked through the air for the dog. I bought a replacement strand.... within 2 weeks, a branch fell from our tree during a storm and took it out again! time to order 2 more rolls...

I love LED for their low voltage and safety, but whenever I buy them I worry they’ll be too cool in color or the strange yellow you get when they’re trying to make them warm. These are actually really close to natural incandescent warmth. They aren’t as bright as incandescent Christmas lights would be, but because there are so many on the strand, that makes up for it. I’m using them on a high shelf to add some ambient glow year-round and these look awesome. And, the tiny clear wire looks much better than white or green in my opinion.

These arrived and I noticed that the wire gage is lighter than the big box store's 100 light sets. The bulbs are also smaller. But I hung them up on the house and after dark they are nice! I used facia clips to hang most of the strings and staples for the garage doors surround. I split a piece of "refer ice machine supply line" to protect the lighter gage wire at my staple points. The protectors are only about a 1" but I would be afraid of cutting the insulator cover without them. Overall I am VERY HAPPY. I am hoping they are durable, only time will tell as I just installed them today.

These are great especially because of the price, used them for twinkle lights in my sister's baby shower, soft golden color but bright definitely recommend
