Authentic
This replaces a pickling pot I purchased in China in 1987. I’m so glad I was able to replace it. it’s the right size and self-sealing.

Bigger than I expected
This is much bigger than I thought it would be. Looks great on my counter!

I like the size
I use this jar to make "Sichuan Paocai". I like the size. It is small but enough for a 2 people family. It can be easily fit inside a refrigerator. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five stars is that I need to refill water every day because the grove in the neck is not deep enough.

Not Recommended
I ordered two at same time, both has something wrong. First one Bottom Has been Chipped and the second one body has Lumps a lot. Very small ...

It works!
It is not well-finished, a bit rough. But IT WORKS! Buying more as gifts. Here is my trick: find a quiet place where it won't get jiggled. Make the kim chi or whatever ferment (I made spicy zucchini slices too). Let it sit (watch the water seal!) for up to a week. Check it. If it is fermenting, put the food in a glass canning jar, add lid and do not seal tight. Just loosely so gasses can escape. Put in fridge. Use, enjoy. This jar starts the process effortlessly.

Kimchi here I come
I am working on fermenting vegetables and this was recommended to me. Love it. Will do my kimchi in it next week. Spring is almost here so I will plant vegetables that I can ferment this year. It is never too late to start eating healthy and good things for your gut.

BROKEN PARTS
The jar was beautiful though the lid a parts are unfinished pottery so idk about how food safe it is. The biggest problem is the inner lid came broken.
