...different.... but excellent results!
i finally got around to trying these! .... took a moment to learn .... but once i did, and learned to keep the sections smaller & wrap consistently from root thru to the very ends it worked great (with gel).... *important: dont lose the lil red clips....( i rcvd 5 extra pcs).....they (surprisingly) secured the ends perfectly smooth & were very easy to use....i bought this set to do someone else's hair..... i personally wouldn't do this to my own hair as my arms would likely give out!.... once i figured out the correct method, its went pretty fast ....a full head of these rods are a bit heavy & cumbersome to wear., especially for the hours it takes hair to thoroughly air dry which is essential for a defined lasting spiral! ...i definitely wouldn't recommend sleeping with it - ouch! ... it was very easy to remove .... & final results were excellent = uniformed highly defined spirals that lasted 2 days (prob wld hv lasted longer - but i had to shampoo)....just be sure to use a good gel, comb thru, be consistent root to end & let dry completely & don't over separate! .... rods are very durable & easy to clean & store. I highly recommend (especially) if u hv someone to apply them for u! glad we tried them. enjoy!

Great for a spiral perm!
I bought these in hopes of a tight curl/spiral perm! These are definitely better to achieve a tight curl/spiral perm look, vs using tight small rods that gives you a poodle hair look in my opinion! LolOverall most of it was easy to do, the back was tricky for sure doing it myself, but overall I got the look I wanted, having done perms myself in the past has always been better than going to a salon. The only issues I had was using the red clips/putting them on and off could be a struggle for a second lol , and the other issue was the back pieces(so if you have someone to help you! That will be better for sure)Overall great product. I used 56 pieces in my hair, so getting the 100 pack is definitely recommended. I have shoulder length hair, and medium-thick hair. Some of the pieces I could have even split up into two rods for better results. But we learn as we go! Hope this review helps others

Worst product ever - DO NOT BUY
If I could give this product zero stars I would. Terrible quality, terrible design. Does not work at all and is incredibly hard to use. Clips won’t stay in and is very hard to manage. Didn’t even both returning, just threw them in the trash. Total junk

Some rods broken
I used for my hair but had to do separate perms due to the rods being broken. The part that looks like a hook.

Fun!
The little clippies were a challenge but a novel way of perming your own hair. Next time I will remember the paper ends. One must be VERY patient taking them out. Don't tug them. Slowly uncoil from the rod. Plan for this taking a little longer than regular rods. I love the look from these. I wish I had a better pic of after. But it has a Beyonce fluff with a ramen noodle twist to it. Still good curls after almost a month of high buns and diffuser hair dryer. 😍 I am loving it . I'd say an 85% DIY success story😆😅 The15% is I should have used papers on the ends. I'd recommend to cash in an IOU from a friend to help take them out.

Could be effective but must have strong hair!!!
I should have guessed by the weight of the item. I finally got around to testing one out. Each roller is SOOOO HEAVY. I mean, I'm not a wimp but these feel like someone is pulling your hair really insistently. The rods are so hard that you can't possibly lie down in them and it just doesn't seem to be worth the hassle of inserting 100 into your hair. Sure it probably works but not worth the pain. Go with regular light weight perm rods!!! Your hair will thank you.

Spiral perm rods
They gave a nice curl. The clips to secure the hair on the rod are difficult to apply.
