Neighbors have been slamming doors, but one of them, on purpose for the sole purpose to harass me. Anything above 75 decibels is unacceptable, per HUD rules. The highest registered at 96.2 decibels! That's the equivalent of a subway! Sometimes I wonder if it's even higher than that. Grateful for this device. It's great evidence to prove noise ordinance violation.

It has a few basic functions and seems well built. It does have a mount option so if you wanted to mount it to a boom mic or other devices that is possible as well. Comes with a foam wind guard. It has a max db function (stays the highest db reached) and it has a current db function (shows current db level) as well as a few other features. All in all I feel that is worth the price I paid under $15

Works as advertised. Has a curved bottom, so it won't stand straight up.
