Luna loves these after her 1.5 mile morning walks. Great product and quality. We do place these in a holder to prevent her from swallowing the last bit whole.

I break off a couple inches at a time for my puppy and he enthusiastically grabs it and runs to a comfortable spot to chew on this treat. Many treats are too hard for him but he loves going after this one. I am almost out, but plan to order this again!I didn't notice any oder with it...unless you picked it up after my puppy had been chewing on it and it had saliva on it.As far as value for money...he is working his way through the bag over the past few months so I think this was worth it but I haven't comparison shopped on others of the same type of treat to know if it is a good value. It is being enjoyed - so that makes it worth its value. I have had several treats that were not a hit.

I ordered this along with the beef jerky chews. Both have been a huge hit with my dog and another pup we've been housesitting. They must smell great because the dogs get extremely excited when I pull them out, and on several occasions I've walked into the room where I left the bags to find both dogs sitting and staring at them hopefully. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem accurate to call these "chews." They are really more like crunchy treats. My dog is still a puppy and a very gentle chewer; he works on a rawhide for weeks before he can get through it, and beef pizzle sticks the same size as these treats take him days to finish. He downed these in a matter of seconds, though, and so did the visiting dog we're house-sitting for, who is smaller than he is -- in fact, she chomped them down twice as fast as he did. I'd be happy to consider them treats instead of chews, except that they really are very hard and I worry he'll ingest pieces of them too quickly and end up with gut obstruction. Because of that concern, I've been doling them out very sparingly and avoiding giving them to one dog while the other is nearby, which seems to encourage even faster chomping (I think he's scared the other dog will snatch it away before he can finish). By "small dogs" the company must mean "chihuahua puppies" because I can't imagine these functioning as genuine "chews" for any dog bigger than that. Whatever you call them, though, he sure does love them.

My 12 year old Norwich Terrier loves this product and I’ve been a regular purchaser. However, my last 2 packages have contained what I assume are partially burned sticks. Those with black charred areas make them impossible to break in half. Because of this I throw those away not knowing if the taste or safety would be affected.So disappointing - I have enjoyed dealing with this company but do not want to have to throw away 2 or 3 out of each pack.

Feel good about what you are giving your pup at a reasonable price. We love this whole line and do does our pups! As soon as they hear the bag open they come running.

Bought these for my 2 dogs, 1 small and 1 medium. I have been a loyal Nature Gnaws customer for years. NO MORE. Bought 3 of these and they came BURNT and NOT tightly twisted, as was advertised and all previous purchases. $75.00 DOWN THE TOILET! Made my dogs THROW UP repeatedly and CHOKE. Amazon will not refund nor will the Seller, Nature Gnaws. Very disappointed. Within the 30 day window. DO NOT BUY. WASTE OF MONEY and your dogs will get sick!!

I had never tried these before my breeder suggested them. They work great with a teething puppy because they are easy to maneuver for my sweet girl. The only problem is my big dogs keep stealing them from the puppy. All our fur babies love the easy chewing of this kind compared to the tougher ones on the market. I highly recommend!
