(10) Air-Tite Brand 5oz Silver Bar Holders for Scottsdale Bars, Silvertowne's Art Bars, and Silvertowne's Standard 5oz Bars

These air-tite capsules are a perfect fit for the 5 oz silver bars that come from Sunshine Minting. I'm not a fan of the plastic bubble sleeve that silver bars originally ship in because they tend to wear thin and develop holes. Tiny holes in those plastic sleeves can cause the silver bars to tarnish like acne blemishes. Tarnish on silver bars is not as pleasant as naturally tarnished coins. I have passed up buying silver bars with low premiums because of the condition of the bars. I'm a stacker and collector and I prefer the silver bars to retain their brilliant shine. These air-tite capsules protect the silver bars from tarnish and scratches.

Tried to put my Apmex 5oz bars in and they are too long, the bars that is. I will keep them around for other 5oz bars I buy in the future but i'm unsure what which Apmex bars others have.. I have the standard APMEX bars that just say APMEX on them.

Air-Tite makes some very nice cases. I've purchased several different sizes and happy with them all. I wanted cases to fit Sunshine Minting 5 oz Silver SI bars, and even though they did not say they would fit the bars I took the chance. The Sunshine bars fit nicely. The cases close all the way, the height and depth are very good, and the width is only about 1/2 cm wider than needed. So if you're looking for a case to fit the Sunshine 5 oz Silver SI bars, these work nicely.

Nice case and similar to the cases for the 'rounds', but does not fit a Miles Franklin 5oz bar. I'll use it for something since it is a nice case.

My only complaint would be that once it’s snapped shut it’s difficult to reopen, non the less this could be an advantage as much a disadvantage. I was looking for something that will keep my silver in good shape for a long time and by the looks of it these will do the job just fine!

These are of as excellent of a make as the seller's other Air-Tite silver holders, and packaged with care.BUT BE AWARE!These are not long enough to fit the 5oz bars from The Highland Mint sold by Silver.com (perhaps others; can't confirm). It is of course not advertised that they do, but it is an easy incorrect assumption to make. Here's hoping the seller eventually offers some (barely longer) "universal" 5oz bar cases.

i have bought several different types of capsules from the seller so far and they are airtight and fit most of the sizes i bought them to fit. excellent product. fair prices. will be back over and over again.
