Like most who are reading this, I did countless hours of investigation and research as I studied options for an aero/ergo carbon handlebar. Also like most of those reading, I don't have hundreds of dollars to plop down on a name-brand setup that would cost 2/3 of what my secondhand (but barely ridden) Specialized Tarmac SL4.I wanted carbon/aero/ergo for all the reasons: 1) It looks amazing 2) Marginal aero gains 3) Comfort/Compliance 4) Weight savings.After looking through all the reviews, Reddits, YouTube videos, etc, I settled here, primarily because I knew I could return it if I unboxed and decided it wasn't "worth the risk". Well folks, I couldn't be happier with my purchase! This thing is substantially lighter than the aluminum round handlebar setup I was running, is well made, and the value is terrific! I've been riding on it daily for about a week now, and I can say that without question riding on the "tops" is incredibly comfortable, and the "drops" is as well. I'm an average joe cyclist so I'm not sprinting in the drops a ton, but when I do you can feel the tiniest bit of flex which isn't disconcerting and allows you to put the power down through the pedals. I also feel like the carbon soaks up more of the road chatter (bumps), making it noticeably more comfortable than a standard round aluminum setup.Installation was fairly easy, as the holes for the brake and shifter cables are big enough to fish your outers through without much frustration. I found it easiest to fish them from shifter to the stem, and this never took more than a quick minute or so per cable. The edges of the cable routing holes are a bit rough, so if you're particular about your outers looking pristine you might want to cover the edges of the holes in some tape. Mine got the slightest bit scratched, but it's not noticeable unless you're actually looking for it.All in all, I'd but this again in a heartbeat. I can't vouch for quality control on every single handlebar they produce, but it certainly *seems* as though I got a good one. I love the look of the matte/satin 3K carbon fiber layup as well, which goes extremely well with my black/grey Tarmac SL4 and half-wrapped with "carbon look" bar tape. Cleaned up the cockpit nicely, and gives the SL4 the look of a much newer bike.

I purchased this in hopes to replace my carbon fiber handlecars which came originally with the bike. The bottom portion of the bars where at a terrible downward angle at which I found very uncomfortable. BUT this new aero bar solved all my issues.Pros:1. Very well priced2. Very sturdy and stiff enough to put the hammer down with very little to no flex.3. Very light...didn't weigh it but felt as light or equal to my old handlebars4. Correct dimensions...quite simple to install...even the brake/lever lines went in ...I only could put the brake lines through because my shit lever lines came out the sides.5. Very comfortable...less to no wrist numbness.6. I think this was more psychological...I felt faster in my rideCons.None at this time.Overall...I will give a long term progress report when I complete several months of riding.Fulcrum

Yes, carbon-intolerance has been described and suggested with these bars. Some riders claim that they broke, followed by photos of the leftovers. And, I suspect that the Enve and Ritchey carbon aero bars are better, for reasons stated, already. So, I'll appeal to all my fellow bottom-feeders who entertain the idea that $350 to $700 is just too much to pay for carbon bars from Taiwan and not from China. These are fantastic for $48. They are stiff, way stronger than my wee biceps can disturb, and they are very comfortable on the hands. If your buying decisions are based on your fear of a catastrophic carbon failure, then OK. I can send you some solvent in which to soak your socks. That will keep the ants from crawling up your pant leg and eating your candy buttocks.

As i normally do with all Chinese carbon, i gave it a thorough visual inspection in which it passed. Though it was painted with a nice metallic off black color though i prefer the look of twill. Then i tried to get any flex out of it in my hands, felt nothing which is good. Mounted it on my bike put my full weight(200lbs) on both the tops and in the drops. No noticeable movement on the tops but pretty good amount in the drops. Then i did some low speed high gear high pressure pulls to put some good force on the bars while riding. They felt great on the tops but the drops were incredibly flimsy and i heard some pops cracks and creaks the couple times i did this. Then i put downward pressure on the tops again and i felt a good amount of play right at the thin section next to the stem. Meaning they failed. Nothing visual but the carbon definitely buckled and wouldve failed catastrophically under continued use. Keep in mind this was like a 15minute period trying to see what these bars are made of.Long story short these suck and are dangerous. False advertising on the finish. Even if they dont break on you the amount of power youd lose into them is substantial. Ill be looking for another solution

These carbon handle bars are everything I could ask for at this price point. Fit and finish is very good. I bought the.high gloss, 440mm bars and couldn't be happier.. I recommend RXL SL and will buy from them again.

These are excellent handlebars. Very light and sturdy construction. I am very happy with this purchase.
