You have to understand, my 8 year old's superpower is zipper destruction. He rips, wrangles, pulls and tears at those tabs with such ferociousness it would make a rabid lion run for cover. He finds normal zipper function a challenge and I have watched in terror as he laughs maniacally, defeating the highest of high end outwear, while giving good ole' Columbia and Spyder the finger.This PHIBEE coat has proven to be a fierce competitor for the pulverizer of the pull tab!!!!Not only is this coat durable, it is lightweight and warm with FANTASTIC colors and graphics! He loves this coat!!!! And so do I!!!!I honestly didn't have very high hopes for this coat because it just seemed too good a price for a quality item. I WAS WRONG!!!!I highly recommend.(Ordered a 12-he wears a 10 and he is slim in stature. Fits perfect with room for layering).UPDATE 01/20:Zipper is still perfect, coat washes up like new!!!!!I have finally found my child's kryptonite!!!!

Bought this for my 5 year old son. Who seen it and wouldn’t have any other coat. It’s rated for extremely cold weather and living in the Midwest we see sun zero temps often. I got a size 8, he’s a size 7 so the coat is a tad big. But he doesn’t like tight things. So he has plenty of room for his shirt and to move and grow in the coat. The thumb grip liner keeps the sleeves down while playing in the snow and on the playground to make sure he keeps warm. It’s all around perfect. From the colors to the fit. He had it on for 3minutes in the house and the fleece liner was already keeping his body warmth in.

Updated Review March 2021: My oldest son still loves this coat, but the zipper just broke yesterday as we were getting ready for a day of skiing :-( (Fortunately, it was a warm, sunny day, and the velcro flap over the zipper was enough for him to ski comfortably in it despite the broken zipper.) Somehow the zipper slider got bent open a little too far so that it stopped forcing the teeth of the zipper together properly, and when I tried to fix it the whole slider came off. The coat lasted 1.5 years, and it has otherwise been great, so I may just buy another one, but dropping to four stars, because I had hoped this would last long enough to pass it down to my younger son.Original Review Feb 2021 (five stars): My 7yo son (4'4" 56lbs) is on his second winter with this awesome coat (size 6X). It's VERY warm--in 32 degree weather my son wears only a thin long sleeve t-shirt under this coat and never gets cold (granted, he tends to run warm). We live in Seattle where snow usually quickly turns to rain, but this jacket does well with keeping him dry. When I first got it, I ran it under the faucet to make sure the water would be repelled rather than soaking in, which was a success. After an afternoon playing in melting snow, it gets a bit damp on the outside layer, but it's never yet soaked through to be damp on the inside. My son really likes the stretchy cuffs with thumb holes that he can put over his hands before he puts on his gloves to make sure that no snow gets to his wrists. I was nervous about buying a brand I'd never heard of before, but this is a great coat!

3/6/20- still completely satisfied! Love this coat. Everything is still in tact, after almost 4 months of daily wear in addition to 3 snow outings. DURABLE ZIPPER. As I myslef am rather petite ( and i ordered it on the large side for my son) i actually wore it twice to run out in 20°F weather for an errand. Really is warm but not sweaty.11/19/19 Just opened it today. Here's hoping it lasts.Initial impression = worth the money. Great features.*light to medium weight- not bulky or heavy*seemingly durable materials, waterproof durable exterior*soft fleeced interior+ unexpected possibly heat reflective insulator patch panel on interior back* elastic pull cord cincher on bottom trim and interior snowskirt flap with snaps*thumb holes/half mitten built in + adjustable velco straps on cuffs*6 pockets (4 external zippered, 1 mesh open pocket inside, 1 clear vinyl velcroed inside)*Removable adjustable hood. Not sure why it has an elastic cincher on back of head.We Ordered 2 sizes up to hopefully get our money's worth. Usually top out at $40 for a winter coat for our son. He also has broken the zipper on 2 winter coats in 2 years. ( in addition to a hoodie zipper). Hopefully this zipper lasts.Will update with wear and tear updates.

I ordered next day delivery and got it next day by 1 pm! My son loves it and he looks great. After reading reviews I ordered a size 16 when he normally wears a size 10/12. It fits him perfectly and he should fit it next year as well. This jacket will keep him warm in our cold Minnesota winters!

This jacket is good quality and WARM! It will do well in Wisconsin winters.There are plenty of pockets, including a mesh pocket inside the coat, another clear pocket and even a zip pocket on the sleeve. The sleeves has separate thumb holes that can easily be tucked in and the wrist can be tightened nice and snug.This jacket is definitely exactly what we wanted. Except the color that we received is not the color that we ordered. We ordered the coat that was listed with the description "Multi1" and we received the one that was listed with the description "Multi" - so a bit bummed about that especially since it was among the least favorite of the choices.Since this item took a while to ship, and the quality is still great, we are just going to use what we've got and I would still recommend the jacket. It will be perfect for our snow loving Son!

Beautiful jacket. I ordered a medium for my 11 yr old son not realizing the jacket gets shipped from China. When it arrived it was way too small. The jacket could have fit a 5-6 yr old.The great thing though I was able to get a full refund from the company.

Good quality and fit! Glad I ordered 1 size larger as it would be too small! Jacket arrived 6 weeks early! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS JACKET I ordered size 12 boys 👦

Well made, lots of pockets and my son loves the colour. I suspect it will be very warm...winter is coming and we’ll see!
