With proper box. . . this sub plays deep, quick (no blot) and tuneful. It is efficient and can accommodate smaller volume (smaller does not equal better, one should take care in matching an appropriate box) boxes. I am using a 1.21 Cubic ft sealed box.

This is an excellent subwoofer. Ability to hit all notes. Great for a daily driver. Not an "spl" or "burp" speaker. CAUTION...have someone build you a custom ENCLOSURE built to specs, not a SPEAKER BOX with a hole in it they call a port! I currently have 2 hx300's powered by an Audison sr1dk and made the mistake of doing that. Preferably, have the authorized dealer build one for you. Speaker retails for over $499 each from an authorized dealer.
