I bought this camera for monitor my house,recently i heard that my friend’s house was stolen and this is the second time,the thief broke through the window,he lost some money and Jewelry and tablet,but he can’t provide any evidence about the thief because there are no monitor nearby and he was out off his house when was stolen, it was terrible. I learned that the heimvision camera has motion detection function form the page,face detection,human shape detection and email alerts with snapshot, i think it is perfect for monitor my house even can keep my families more safe in the evening,.It is really clear image,detailed instruction easy to setup,WAHT’S THE BETTER IS PRIVACY PROTECTION,it is said that you can set 4 area not been record,i set only one area--my washroom direction, because sometimes my little girl naked after she taking shower.it is not good to be record even thought he is only a 4-years-old girl.What really impressed me is the night vision motion detection,i can see the car passed through the way on my house clearly,and i saw the snapshot about the car yesterday,but sometimes i also received some not important email,not a matter for me. Really really good camera, if you are looking for a camera to monitor your house or pets in your home, heimvision camera is a good choice.

I live on a very busy street and never thought I needed a camera until an attempted break-in in the middle of the day early last year. I’ve tried several other cameras but none were to my likings; some would run out of battery quickly due to heavy foot traffics and some lacked reliable motion detections. Notably, my most recent camera was set up behind the front window and the infrared glare would render its night time recording completely useless.After careful evaluation, I finally decided to pull the trigger on this continuous recording camera. The installation process of a wired system was the primary reason that deterred me from purchasing, but this camera was surprisingly easy to set up, and the included instructions are clear and concise. Connecting the camera to the app was also a breeze. The video quality is excellent and much more superior to my old camera.I think this is the ideal camera for a house on a busy street without breaking the bank. I’m very impressed with this camera and wish I had purchased it earlier without going through all my older ones.

Here is my review of the Heimvision HM245 1080P Security Camera System. I hope this review will help those looking to purchase this system. The system I ordered came with four cameras. This system does not come with a hard drive to store the camera footage on. I ordered a 2TB drive, which serves my needs.Before you install the cameras system, hook everything up and make sure it works. I did this and had one of the cameras stop working for me after 15 minutes. I contacted the Amazon seller and they sent me a replacement (very promptly).Be advised that the installation and user documentation is limited. It will get you up and running with basic instructions.Before you install the cameras in their final location, I recommend that you remove the clear reflective cover and clean the inside and outside of the cover and the camera with an anti-fog cleaner (I used Rainx). I did not do this at first and had trouble with the cameras fogging up at night when the IR lights kicked in and started to warm the camera up.Configuration:As I said before, the documentation is lacking. Even if you go to Heimvision’s web site and community section, it still lacks help. I sent an email request for help to the Heimvision’s support section and never heard back from them. If you want more than a basic configuration, you will be modifying your setup. There are three ways to configure the system.Mouse and monitor connected directly to the system.Via the VMS software.Via IOS Android (Play store)Via Internet Explorer (Only Internet explorer will work, Chrome, Firefox, etc. do not work.)To start off it is best to configure the system with the mouse and monitor. I tried to use a keyboard and could not get it to work. Only the mouse and an onscreen keyboard were available.Once you have the system configured to work via a network connection, you can access it via the VMS application that you can download from Heimvision’s web site. Internet explorer and the Cell phone application. I have android, so I downloaded it from the play store.All four ways to access the system will differ some. For example, you can reboot the system via the phone app, directly connected with mouse, and via Internet explorer, but not with the VMS software. I also had trouble changing the date and time via the VMS software. I went back to the mouse and monitor to update the time and date. I did not try it with the phone or Internet explorer.Other issues:I have the system installed in a remote building and connect to it via a network connection. The system and my network are connected via a wireless bridge which has access to the internet for email and other alerts. Being that said, I ran into some additional problems. First off is the FTP issue. I have my system ftp a copy of every motion detect that occurs to an ftp server in my home. It also works to ftp servers on the internet. Be advised that you cannot enter any path for the “Remote Path” section of the FTP setup. It will create the directories, but will not upload the files.When you are remote monitoring via Phone, Internet Explorer, or VMS software; be advised that if you are connecting through any wireless connection, it needs to be a strong Wi-Fi signal. If not, you will have latency issue. Such and the video pausing.This is a minor issue, but the system screens have some words misspelled and not worded correctly.Overall I like the system. It does what it supposed to do. I installed it in the winter time. I hope it works as well in the hot summer.Update 1-15-2021:The fog I have on the cameras is not moisture. It seems to be something wrong with the electronics in the cameras. I have submitted the issue to [email protected]. I am waiting to hear back from them.

This system is hardwired so it doesn’t have problems associated with lost link, packet loss, or latency like other wireless IP based systems. Because the power is centrally located, all cameras can be backed up with an uninterrupted power supply making the system fail safe during power outages. Analog systems are superior to digital when zooming in on details. The system is easily upgraded with additional cameras as needed.The only down sides is that this system requires manual labor to install, and doesn’t have all the fancy bells and whistles of other systems.This system fully upgraded will literally save you thousands of dollars compared to other systems that charge 160 dollars for a single camera.Night vision, picture quality and sheerness is perfect, as expected.
