Fits old jointer perfectly.
It looks like I'm not the first person to get this for an old Model 50 Powermatic jointer, which only has a chute for the saw dust instead of a proper dust collection port. I drilled holes into the jointer base and the dust hood, fastened it with bolts, and voila, works great. If you get the 4" to 2.5" adapter so you can attach it to your shop vac, don't forget to get the 4" flex cuff with steel clamps too or it won't go on.

Fits great works great
Installed on a Grizzly jointer no problem. Measured the dust chute on my jointer to make sure it's smaller than the opening on this, and used some self tapping screws to install. Fits the dust collector hose no problem and seems like it will hold up for a while.

Fit my Delta DJ-15 perfectly !!!
After measuring my 1989 Delta DJ-15 jointer, I ordered this. Fit was excellent, and I mounted it with double sided tape and a self tapping screw in each corner. Works great.

I have an old jointer. Through the action of gravity most of the generated wood chips (sawdust) would fall via a chute to the ground at one end of the machine. Continual effort had to be taken to clear the collection of sawdust on the ground at the chute outlet. This was because continued operation of the machine would result in the pile of sawdust blocking the outlet of the chute and, the chute itself, be filled with sawdust leading to the whole interior of the machine being filled with sawdust. When that happened, sawdust would be strewn in various directions from the machine by the spinning cutter head. Fitting the dust hood and connecting that to a home vacuum cleaner allowed the generated sawdust to be removed from the chute whilst using the machine. In addition, the vacuum attachment eliminated wood dust/chips otherwise emitted from the machine due to the cutting action of the planer blades. I apologise for not sharing any pictures. I'm not really computer literate and this website has not made it easy for me to insert pictures from my iPhone or MAC
