WZRELB 8000W 48V AC to 120V DC Pure Sine Wave Solar Power Inverter - RV, Camping, Solar System

This is my second one of this model. The first one was dead on arrival. The vendor replaced it with the 2nd one. After about 20 months, this one failed to start. The inverter was used in an off grid backup solar generator. The inverter was used primary to charge the batteries not to supply power to the house. Never used to power anything. This is being to used to power the house. It does not have all the bells and whistles but works great. Love it

Had the fire department at my house tonight - Inverter went up in flames. I haven't been able to open up the inverter yet to see why, but my wife saw flames coming out of both ends and she had to abandon the house as the smoke was getting dense. I had marine CBs on the Battery to Inverter, Inverter to controller, fuse from the panels into controller and a CB to load (which was switch off as I only wanted this to be used for pumping water during power outage). Failure happened about midnight (thank you smoke detectors) and my wife used a AFO Fire Extinguisher ball to put the fire out. Looking at other reviews, I think Amazon should seriously consider removing this product as it has serious design issues - they should not catch on fire as a main design goal!!!! Thought paying $1400 for this was ensuring I was getting a good product. WRONG.

Worked great for 4 months. Ran everything on my big 5th wheel..... washer, dryer, both air conditioning units, and everything else, all on a 40 amp breaker to the RV. Then 4 months later when it was cold out, I plugged a small 1000 watt heater into one of the four plugs in the front of the inverter..... pow and smoke after about 15 minutes!!!! It then proceeded to brown out my washing machine and gas heater controls which ran through the second air conditioning unit in the RV. I opened up the inverter to see what happen and found there were NO fuses or protection on the 120 volt circuits on any of the plugs in the front of the inverter that I had plugged the 1000 watt heater into. There were 16 each - 10 amp fuses on the 48 volt DC side and none of the fuses were blown. $1,499.00 with NO protection inside the inverter for the AC side of the inverter. Why someone would design and build this piece of equipment with NO protection on the AC side is beyond my understanding

I purchased the 8000 pure sin wave thru e bay .had it professionly installed and with 600 wats caught on fire on first try instead of sending a replacement I had to pay shipping and they send me the boards had them installed tried it again and it worked for few minuts on light load and poof on fire again .this time they wont answer my e mail completely ignored me .I had to shell another thousand and got an aimes 5000 oure sin wave and no more problem it will power both my air conditioning on my fifth wheel .maybe they made an impruvment on the new ones but who is stupid enough to take a chance the WZRELB and RELIABLE is the same BEWARE
