GameMastery Plot Twist Cards

These cards are fun. I bought them primarily for family gatherings where we like to play storytelling games and they work great for that. I can see how they'd be useful for role-playing games as well, and even for writers looking to toss in a fresh plot point. The cards have a nice variety of "twists" and there are 4 options on each card, so all you need is a good imagination and away you go!

I don't use these the way they are supposed to be used. My players say they really like them, but they don't use them very often. I give them one every time they level up and give them the opportunity to use as they would like, within reason. It's not a wish spell, after all....Also I use them for 5E not Pathfinder. It doesn't really make a difference.

After reading the other reviews I decided to get these for my game. I don't run a pathfinder or 3.5 game, but have had experience with them. To offset the other reviews, first the cards are of average quality, I wouldn't consider them "sturdy" as listed in another review. Also the artwork is average at best, considering it is a Pathfinder product I would have expected better.As far as the content itself, the card effects and their suggestions seem to provide some decent examples for their use. If I were to use these in a pathfinder/d&d game I believe the effects might be a little overpowering and I hate to take something away from a player after they have found a good use for it. I would only allow them to take a que from the descriptions and have them offer me a way to put it to use for their benefit in game.

We use these cards in our D&D campaign, and they add a lot of fun twists to our gameplay. I highly recommend them.

Bought this set on a whim, when ordering Condition cards and Critical Hit and Fumble card decks. While we don't use these very often, they are pretty cool in creating extra side-adventures for your players mid-game. I also use them when we don't have a full table, and can quickly work up something cool.

Was a fun way to twist around the game. Can occasionally ruin encounters but loads of fun otherwise

These cards are a great way to mix things up and make the adventure a little less predictable.Not recommended for PFS play, but fun for any other Pathfinder.Good gaming
