VERY PLEASED WITH PURCHASE
Bought 3 of these egg rings - two for husband and one for me - as we enjoy a fried egg with our Sunday bacon and potato cake, etc. I have only used these rings once and find them to be very good indeed as all three fitted inside a 24cm straight sided sauté pan, which is non-stick and has a superb flat base for use on induction hob - I set the heat to roughly medium/high.I did not use too much fat, but merely a thin amount of melted Trex. As recommended by a previous reviewer I waited for the fat to heat and then placed the rings in the pan. Waited a minute or so and then the medium sized eggs went into the rings and four minutes later, lovely fried eggs! I found it important to use a decent sized spatula/turner when, after removing the rings, the eggs were plated. Also, with a non-stick pan the eggs can be moved around (without seepage) and still carry on gently cooking. Rings went on to the top level of the dish washer.

Rubbish, spoils a good egg.
What a waste of (admittedly, not very much) money. Even when inserted into the pan a few minutes before the egg, in order to heat it, it doesn't mould to the bottom of the pan and therefore the egg white runs underneath the mould. It also is too small in diameter, meaning the egg white is too thick and takes too long to cook through. Therefore, every time I have used it, the yolk has cooked solid before the white is cooked, which is pretty much the most disappointing thing that can happen to a fried egg. Leave this well alone.

Just what I needed
the only surface I have for doing "fried" eggs is a Teppanyaki grill which is not completely flat (has a subtle curve)... this shaper works perfectly for me. Will not leak and does a perfectly round fried egg but it's a bit small for me so after a few seconds I just lift it off gentley for a controlled leakage to get a spread of "eggyness" to fit a slice of toast when before.. the egg would just run allover the shop! :)glad I bought it.

It's not perfect and you really need to figure out a technique ...
I have a little OCD (don't we all) thus this purchase! It does the job, occasionally, though that could also be because my frying pan isn't very flat. It's not perfect and you really need to figure out a technique to get this thing to make you perfect edges (heat, oil, pan etc) but when you do, it does the job. Expect leakages in the start till you decipher it! If you're in a hurry you could always go for a metal one.

Great for eggs
I've been using this for a few weeks to replace stainless steel rings.I find this great for medium eggs and ok for large eggs, I'm able to get cooked white and runny yolk quite easily, without any seepage under the silicone as others have reported. I don't have a great frying pan, I think it was £20 from Tesco and isn't totally flat.Several people have complained of egg seepage, I think the way to prevent this is to place the ring in the pan as the pan heats up, this softens the silicone so it can better mold to the curvature of the pan and create a seal with the oil. If your pan is horribly warped buy a new pan!

Love this product and recommend
This item has been of great use in kitchen and does exactly what it's supposed to do.I have not noticed some of the leakage in the forms some have mentioned. Usually, none at all. When there is, it's tiny and only because sometimes I start to lift too soon.Would not be without it and the price was very good too.

Great egg/crumpet ring
I bought this item for making crumpets. It worked very well and the crumpets didn't stick at all even when I used them over and over. I also used my plastic rings and metal rings and had a nightmare trying to unstick the crumpets. I have learnt only to use this ring. Haven't used for eggs yet but am confident they will work great.

Not as easy as it looks
Love the idea but can't get the results I expect. Egg typically leaks out under the ring, defeating its purpose. I found the adding some extra oil does seal the ring to the pan & prevent the egg leaking out but then the bottom half of the egg is overcooked.Perhaps it "takes getting use to"? I was disappointed that it didn't do as I'd hoped - cook a perfectly round egg.Easy to clean though.
