Compatible with/Replacement for John Deere PTO Clutch AM126100 LX255 LX266 LX277 LX279 -Bearing Upgrade

There was a bit of drama getting the old unit off. The bottom pulley came off easily - and there was almost no rust on the engine shaft. However, getting the rest off was an issue. I did buy a large puller from HF, but the rounded edges of the clutch made it impossible to do. Eventually, I put a 2 ft. demolition/pry bar above it and used the frame of the tractor as a fulcrum point. I used a small bottle jack on the end of the bar to put a lot of pressure on it to encourage it down the shaft. Once I had substantial pressure on it, I tapped the electro-clutch with a heavy hammer and it gave up and fell down. Whew. I was stuck for a while.

The factory JD LX255 pto failed. I replaced the crank and Installed a new PTO. Went on like butter and works perfect.

Works just as good as the original.

I bought this for my JD LX255. It works just like it should. I just wish the old one had come off as easily as this one went on.

Much cheaper than OEM products

The AM126100 PTO Clutch installed just like original. I've used it around 6 hours and seems to be working well, but does seem kind of noisy at times which may be normal. I like the idea that the bearing can be replaced, but I've never had that problem before, I always had an issue with my bolt breaking (2x) even with proper torque.

Fit perfect.Not a super easy job. Used a puller to get the old one off.But the new one fit fine.
