Works of Ahhh... Craft Set - Dream Catcher Classic Wood Paint Kit

I don't like to post bad reviews but I took a chance on this kit & lost and feel I need to share. First the kit came with all the items out of place in the box. It should have been my first clue of what to expect when I opened it. However, being an optimistic person I wasn't prepared to find the whole thing a tangled mess. I should have checked it out before l showed it to my little one who wanted to make it as a gift. Ultimately it took me 45 minutes to untangle it. Only to discover it wouldn't hang level nor did the piece that hits the pipes to make the sound hit properly. They're basically a dull tinkle if that. So since my little one was so gung ho to do the project we are revamping it with some creative ingenuity. I cut off the pipes with the intention of reattaching them after its decorated & plan to use longer string that I will drill holes to attach properly. (They were stuck on with a tiny bit of glue) along with replacing the wood disk with something that will provide a better ringing sound. I'm currently considering a small rock or something from Home depot. Buyers beware. :(

More of a birdfeeder size, but still nice. Preassembled so you just have to paint. Includes: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, White, and Varnish? Not sure why the varnish or how that was supposed to be used. Two paint brushes, one fine, one thick. Some stickers to decorate the house, and a stencil. The stencil was just a thin cardboard, so it's hard to get those to form properly. I did use some on the birdhouse, and then, my daughter painted over them. I expected the paint to be runny, but it actually was a decent thickness and color sticks very well! I was happy about that. However my daughter still doesn't understand how to rinse paint brushes that well, and blended a few colors. Luckily its a hands-on way of learning how to make different colors :) (shes 4) Lots of nice little things detailed the house nicely like fencing, and flowers above the opening. The stickers helped give the house more vibrance. Paint dried fast, as we painted it outside. We actually did have paint leftover after as well, and that's after deciding to paint over a few things, which covered fairly decently. Super happy with it. I bought this for my little girl. She loves sloths. She was so excited to get this. When it came out wasn't a sloth it was a unicorn. She was upset but didn't want to exchange it and wait for another delivery. She started painting it but didn't finish. It's now sitting unfinished in the box it came in. It makes a great gift if you don't need a specific animal or creature theme.

I bought this for my grandson. We made it together on Thursday. Fun project and I noticed that when he gets up in the morning, he always looks up at his dreamcatcher. We had plenty of paint. The sparkly glue was a little dry, but we put the gems on with it and he loves it.

I ordered the sloth wind chime kit, not the unicorn one yet I still received the unicorn kit. Both my invoice and the gift receipt clearly show Sloth!!!. The kit seems well made and worth the price but it is useless as a gift for the little boy for whom it was intended.

Awful! Glued pieces together instead of that sticky stuff for shipping. I had to pry pieces apart before painting and some of the wood broke. I couldn't even use all the paint because one color had glue on it and I couldn't open it. There was no stencil sheet or sticker sheet.

My granddaughter,7, was thrilled with the dream catcher. She loved painting, weaving the string, and decorating it. I would highly recommend purchasing it. We were pleased with the quality of the product.

Arrived assembled which made it hard to paint without getting paint on everything like hands and other pieces of the chine. The owls foot wasn’t attached—it had broken off.

It is exactly as described
