Excellent Transfer to Blu-ray
If you are looking to buy this movie, you probably know what it is, who's in it, etc. You've probably seen it, more than once even. So for that reason, I'm not going to get into the movie details itself, rather I'm just going to say this remaster/transfer into Blu-ray is just plain awesome! It does have one negative, that being it leaves me wanting more, but I will just have to live with that!If you're thinking about buying this edition, just do it! Enjoy the wonderful visual aspects in great definition, and one of the few movies where Bruce's own voice is used, in English.Because sometimes listings change and add multiple versions and options, to be clear, I am referring to the Enter the Dragon (40th Anniversary Edition) [Blu-ray].

Bruce Lee's best movie IMHO
From 1971 to 1973 Bruce Lee stared in just five films. Many consider First of Fury aka The Chinese Connection as the best constructed movie with its story of Chinese nationalism and the fight scenes. I have always thought Enter the Dragon was better. This was to be Lee’s big break into the American market as it was jointly produced by Warner Brothers. I’ve always thought the action was the best Lee put to film.Bruce plays a character simply called Lee. After defeating a fighter played by Sammo Hung who would become a Hong Kong movie star in the next decade, his mentor, a Shaolin priest tells him of a man named Han (Shih Kien) who had perverted the Shaolin ways to his own benefit. The priest then introduces him to a British intelligence officer named Braithwaite (Geoffrey Weeks) who wants Lee to investigate Han and his drug operations by entering a martial arts competition he is running on his private island. Also invited to the tournament are Williams (Jim Kelly) and Roper (John Saxon). Amongst Han’s men taking part are O’Hara (Robert Wall) and Bolo (Bolo Yeung). The story turns out to be VERY loose and is just there to justify Lee going to Han's island to beat people up.The action is the best part. These are some of the best choreographed scenes Lee ever did. The more memorable ones are when he takes on O’Hara, who happened to be a sparring partner of Lee in real life. It turns out O’Hara led to the death of his sister so Lee wants revenge. Another is when Lee penetrates Han’s underground labyrinth and takes on a whole slew of nameless fighters picking up a series of weapons including nunchuks. A very young Jackie Chan was in that sequence as well, but you can’t even recognize him there are so many bodies flying around. The real star is the confrontation with Han that includes a hall of mirrors. Williams also gets a great scene with Han with the classic dialogue beforehand. Han says, “It is defeat that you must learn to prepare for.” To which Williams replies, “I won’t waste my time with it. When it comes I won’t even notice. … I’ll be too busy looking good.” Roper also gets to beat up on Bolo. The soundtrack is outstanding, done by Lalo Schifrin. The opening theme is especially memorable with all the wah wah guitar. There are several sequences where Schifrin composed just the right background music to accentuate what was going on in the scene. On the downside there are some obvious holes in the plot, but the action, the characters, and the music more than make up for that.C

LOOKING FOR 'GAME OF DEATH' AS BRUCE LEE INTENDED? HERE IT IS-IN THE BONUS FEATURES
'Enter the Dragon' - as a movie - speaks for itself. Not only is it Bruce Lee's greatest film, it is the quintessential martial arts picture. Yet another masterwork is available within the two-disc compilation packaged in this product: Bruce Lee's unfinished opus, 'Game of Death' - as Bruce Lee intended - NOT the thrown-together mish-mash we've had to suffer through since Sijo (Grandmaster) Bruce Lee's untimely passing. On disc-2 of this DVD set, a special feature titled 'A Warrior's Journey' has 'Game of Death' in its pure form. This alone makes it a worthwhile purchase.

Only Hollywood movie
This is the only Hollywood movie Bruce made, and it was done in English not dubbed. It is outstanding, the story line is solid and worldly, not at all like the other movies where the story lines are very simple. This movie cost less than a million dollars to make and at the time made over 30 million, not a bad profit, plus considering where it is now in total gross. This is an excellent movie that will always be good because the fight scenes and scenery will always look good. If you want to see Bruce Lee at his movie making best, this is the film to watch, it is top flight. Not that his other movies are bad, but other than the fight scenes which are all great, Enter the Dragon is very well done in all aspects, and is a step above.

IF YOU ARE A BRUCE LEE FAN, THIS IS A MUST
I have been a bruce fan since I saw his first film, THE BIG BOSS sometime in the early seventies. I have 2 films, but not this one. this one only off the tv, until now. when you look at the other martial artists, they look tame in comparison. if he started training when he was 14 (as it is said in the extras) and died when he was 32, that is only 18 years to achieve this standard.the film was actually better than I thought it would be, both picture and audio. you also get an envelope containing 6, 13cmx16cm photo's. if you have the patience to go through the extras, most of it is interesting. but towards the end, there are a number of clips that are more or less the same. which I got a bit bored with. otherwise a good buy

Enter the Bluray Dragon
Having had this film as my number one martial arts of all time (Ip man is the dogs, I know - how many punches in the chest) I thought I'd better check out the Bluray - not disappointed whatsoever. Totally uncut - with an extra scene! The quality of film brings an early cinema viewing clarity to my reasonable sized telly (I'm not huge in that department, as I live in a normal house and have eyesight) Sound is excellent - bang it up and you start sweating. Lalo Schiffrin's score is fantastic! If you know Enter the Dragon, you'll be very pleased with this. If you've never seen it before, it's probably time for bed now, as the nurse/carer or your mum is coming to tuck you in.

Legend
Without a doubt this is THE best martial arts movie ever made. Groundbreaking, visceral and entertaining, Bruce Lee is just magnificent in this debut for the western movie world. Great transfer, the pic and sound are terrific, so I recommend that you buy it, if you're a fan of Bruce or just a martial arts freak.

The Master!
I bought this for Chinese New Year and it did not disappoint. I had not seen it since 1973 when I got thrown out of the Cinema when someone I was in the queue with asked for a child`s ticket and they realised we were all 14! I did go back alone the next week.... Greataction scenes and the definitive film of the Kung Fu genre and I would give it six stars if I could. This is up there with Airplane! we should all see it at least once!
