Bob's Sweet Stripes Soft Peppermint Candy, 3 Pound Bulk Bag (4 Pack)

Great candies. We first had them at a local restaurant that has them on the counter to take as you pay your bill. Fell in love with them and couldn't find them locally. Nice to have on hand as an after dinner treat. What is nice about them is they are not hard candies...they sort of melt in your mouth. No chipped teeth!Edited after having them for awhile:Kept the big bag in a dark cabinet to refill a candy dish on a table. After a while, the candy turned rock hard. So hard one would chip a tooth on it. The only thing they are good for now is to grind them up and add them to ice cream. Will not buy again. My 5 star review turned into a 1 star

I ordered these twice before and we loved them. This particular bag said “Made In Mexico”. The taste is overwhelmingly minty, and they were not as soft as the other two times we got them. Buy the ones in the plastic container, and avoid these like the plague. They are so awful that we are throwing the bag out, and I very rarely throw money away like that. The aftertaste is very unpleasant. It’s extremely bitter and long lasting. Maybe if they add garlic they can use them to kill vampires. Too bad Bobs is not making them here anymore. They were much better when they followed the recipe. It’s not the same candy anymore. A big thumbs down from someone who used to love them. They are not very sweet or very soft.

I usually purchase my mints at Tractor Supply Store, and they are a different brand, but I thought I would try these, as TSC is often out of their mints. While these mints are soft, they smell awful and taste like a chemical or plastic. I ate 2 mints and have no idea what I will be doing with the 3 POUNDS left!! I don't think I can return them as I opened the bag and put them in a candy dish and threw the bag away before I ate them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying these!!! If I could give a negative star rating I would!

I was happy to find soft stripes which I had nearly forgotten from childhood .. I had been looking for hard peppermint discs. These aren't the peppermint flavor I remember from youth. Am curious if its artificial (ingredient list doesn't indicate, only listing "peppermint oil"). I have had 3 and hoped the flavor would quit being an issue but it still isn't any better. They aren't too strong..they are "goldilocks" in the amount of mint. - too my taste. Although the Ferrara Candy Co is shown as being in Illinois this bag's label is stamped in large/all caps thw notation "PRODUCT OF MEXICO." Am wondering if company is shipping their mint or if Mexico is using a different type of peppermint or perhaps artificial flavor although not so stated. The 3 lb bag was shipped without any filler protection. Fortunately (or luckily) very few were shattered. Upside is each candy is individually wrapped so even if several had been damaged they were contained and could have been saved to sprinkle over ice cream, in brownies or....😄

I first came across Bob's Sweet Stripes soft mints in stick form in the dollar store at Christmas. I was going to use them for hot chocolate stirrers but forgot I had them and ended up just eating them as candy later. They were addictive.Glad to find Bob's Sweet Stripes soft mints on Amazon. I was shocked when I got the box to find out how big 3 pounds is. It's a lot of candy! If you could have seen my face... (mainly wondering where I was going to put them).They are as good in ball form as in stick form. If you like peppermint and something with a consistency right between hard peppermint and soft mints then these are just the thing. Might want to try a smaller amount at first though. ;)

I love Bobs soft peppermints because I have difficulty chewing hard candy (I know I shouldn't be chewing it-sue me-lol). Anyway, Bobs is so soft and delicious it's perfect! Was so excited when I found huge bag on.Amazon. It did arrive before scheduled delivery date. I ripped into the first piece!! And......not the Bobs I was used to eating. This Bobs looks the same, has the exact same texture but has a very, very slight aftertaste on the first one you eat (this is my opinion, what happened to me) #2 &#3 tasted fine. So I can live with that and it's just a tiny aftertaste that doesn't last long. If you're willing to put up with 10 seconds of a kinda funny taste to get to the deliciousness of Bobs then these will be great for you. I would order these again.

I used this during the Christmas season as a little treat for my customers at the end of their meal. I personally really love these because they're soft and still delicious, I get all the candy cane goodness without chipping a tooth. These were fresh and delicious, although a few were cracked but hey, it wasn't a big deal. I noticed more than once that when I would drop them off at tables, many customers were pleasantly surprised, saying "oh my gosh, I love these!"If you want to make others happy or just need a boatload of peppermints, BUY THESE

These are SO wonderful. Absolutely addicting. The flavor and the "melt away" texture drives me nuts. What a divine sugar high!
