Best Boot Ever!!!
I have to first say that I have looked at these boots for two years! Yes, that's right two years.(All the while I have been wearing a crappy pair of boots I picked up from tractor supply).I'm so picky about what I want. I was also torn between the color and size. Finally my husband said either you order them or I will. LOL. We had a snow storm coming in New York and I wanted them for the storm. I ordered the exact size I would wear in running shoes, a size 10. When I got them and first tried them on I did have a tough time getting them on over my arch. (I have high arches). At first they felt snug. I wanted them to be comfortable and warm enough with normal everyday socks on. I wore them around the house for a little bit and they loosened up perfectly. Unfortunately the first time I went to wear them outside (which was around 7:30am the next day) the one eyelet fell off. I was really disappointed. I went right to Amazon and started a return. Then I went right out and took my boots to a UPS drop off. Well, I kid you not by 9:00pm the very next night I got my brand new boots delivered to my door!!! I had the same issue with them being a little snug at first but when they wear in a little bit and mold to your feet they are absolutely wonderful!!! I am so in love with these boots. They are so cute and comfortable!! Also, someone made a comment that it's annoying because the liner comes out every time you take your boots off. I don't know how that can happen because they have a snap that holds them in. Amazon is amazing for their fast returns. I don't know how they do it! One other thing I read at the Sorel website (I was going to buy them from there) was that they didn't have great customer service. With Amazon you don't have to worry about that! You can rest assured that if something isn't right they will make it right!! Get the boots, don't wait two years like I did. I bet I won't need another pair of winter boots for the rest of my life!!

I use them for Chilblains and Raynauds
I have Raynaud's and chilblains along with problems regulating my body temperature. I was told by my foot Dr to buy shoes that have a removable "inner boot", and are water proof. He also said only wear moisture wiking socks and merino wool socks. I wear two pairs of smart wool hiking socks along with these boots... my toes still get cold with all this when the temps drop past 20 degrees. I use toe warmers to help when that happens.I did my research on which boots are best for protecting against cold. Joan of arctic boots kept coming up. I also read that they fit to normal size, so I decided to get a larger one (I usually wear an 8 - 8.5, I bought a 9.5). That was a very wise idea given how I wear 2 thick socks with it.Like what a lot of people complain about it is a bit of a pain to put on and off. My best tip putting on is point you foot down and grab the outer boot (don't grab the inner boot because you could cause it to come out) while pulling, then wiggle/pull the inner boot up a little incase it crinkled down. I feel like it's harder to get off than on because I'm working against gravity. And yes, they are heavy and clunky. Despite the negatives I don't regret the investment. I think for people with less health problems than me they will probably benefit a lot from its cold protectiveness.

Pretty sure these are fakes!
Save your money and buy from a legitimate & reputable source, just in case. These are so gigantic and bulky (and I'm not talking about the foot size, which I ordered in a 9), that I highly doubt they are real Sorels. While I don't have another pair for comparison, I will say that when I see other women with Sorel boots, they certainly don't look so cartoonishly big. It's like I'm walking in clown shoes. Mainly, it's the front rubber part - which is very, very wide (why?). Also, the stitching isn't neatly done. Which is all characteristic of something fake. That or Sorel just isn't up to my standards, especially considering the money. Too bad.

Wanted 9 but settled 9-1/2 to get earlier
These boots are very nicely made, strong good looking and good quality. They are just as the seller pictured. When visiting my daughter my old now cracked boots let water in and got my feet soaked. My daughter let me wear her 9-10year-old Sorel boots in size 9, we both wear an 8 usually. They fit me perfect but of course hers were lovingly worn and cared for and softened over time.I wanted to order a 9 but I would have had to wait for late February for them to arrive. So, I got an 8 and a 9-1/2 to compare. The 8 I could get on, but they were pretty tight and would not work for being in the cold, so I sent them back. The 9-1/2 are roomy but not too big at all. We measured them to compare, and they seemed to be the same except mine (the larger size) was actually a half inch smaller across the bottom of the boot foot area (the biggest part across). So, it seems that over the years they made them a little smaller.Well, I'm glad I got them, and I love them and got to try them out in a 24-inch snowstorm a week later so I'm glad I didn't wait for the size 9 and took a chance! They are nice and warm - it was 15 degrees and crazy wind while we were shoveling.

Difficult to put on
I wanted to love these boots. They are adorable, and great quality. However, it was next to impossible to put them on without completely unlacing them, and then wrestling my foot into them. The calf/shaft of the boot was plenty wide. However the space at the ankle into the foot was too small. I had to twist the boot sideways to get them on. I don't have huge feet (size 8), but maybe someone with a size 6 or 7 would have better luck with these boots. They really are great quality, and I wanted to love them. But I also don't want a workout each time I want to wear these boots! :)

Love these boots!
LOVE! These are my second pair of Sorel boots and I am thrilled with them. They are durable, warm, and look great! The quality of materials used is also superb (I prefer faux fur, which these are).I really like the tall shaft, and the fact that it’s a lace up. This is great for my fat calves! The shaft is sturdy and keeps its shape well, no floppiness or gapping once laced. They hold up very well in the snow; I’ve been in 5” of snow and my feet stayed dry and warm. The fit is slightly roomy, but I wear a thin sock and it fills out fine. Large and comfortable toe box.Overall I cannot recommend these enough!

Lovely and warm, need to buy one size bigger as they are narrow and sole is thin
I bought these boots as I had already a pair of Sorel Caribou, which I loved they had a real comfortable sole (I have arthritis in my feet) I walked all terrains in them, they were so warm with a warm sock inside that could be taken out after years I had a little hole where rubber had worn. I bought these half a size bigger to allow for swollen feet.My new Joan of artic are really warm with the fur sock, however again I ordered half a size bigger and they are too tight and the sole is so thin that I can feel little stones when I walk over them. Unlike the Caribou they are difficult to get on and off.I bought these instead of the Caribou because they are more feminine looking and I thought they would have the same comfortable sole. I now regret it because sole is thin and they definitely come up smaller than normal size. They do look lovely and are warm!

Really Pleased
Although I have not had the opportunity to wear these yet as I have bought them for the colder snowy weather I can tell they will be fantastic and extremely warm and waterproof. They were a bit difficult to get on at first around the ankle even with the laces loosened as much as possible but with a good shove they went in no problem and came out easily. Excellent quality and great colour. The boots do make my size 7 feet look rather large but they are very comfortable and I can live with the fact that my feet look a bit bigger than they are. I went for a 7.5 as I have one foot slightly bigger than the other and my feet can get quite hot so I wanted some extra room. They don't feel too large in side. They look stylish while being practical. I had seen them on Pintrest and fell in love with them and for this price you cannot go wrong. They are built to last and if you look after them you will certainly get many many years use out of them.

Tricky to get on depending on foot shape
I bought these for a family member, but unfortunately she suffered the same issues as others have reported and found it incredibly difficult to get them on and off. I am only half a size smaller and found no difficulty in getting the boots on and off, so I don’t think it’s a size issue, but a foot shape/width issue (I have narrow feet). They are lovely boots, well made and comfortable (if you can get your feet inside).I will keep them for myself and look for alternatives for the person they were intended for.Update:I also bought my own size in a different colour and these fit too - the first pair need thick socks, but my size is fine with normal socks. I still get them on easily, so it must be a foot-shape issue if others cannot get them on their feet.I love them.

Great boots but.......
These boots are very well made. I bought a size 6 and they are true to size...the only thing is its REALLY hard to get your foot into them (and i have slim narrow feet!)Once your feet are in these are well comfy and cozy.I returned the boots for the only reason that they were super warm and chunky...i needed something i could walka good distance in and i felt these would become heavy and too warm.If you are going to a very cold snowy climate tho i reckon these would be perfect
