TGLBT 40 Ounce Porcelain Soup Bowls - 4 Packs, Stackable Round, White

I cook Pho about once a week because my husband and children decided that it’s the best food ever and they cannot live without. So here I go being the good wife and mom I am to cook them homemade goodness - a hot bowl of delicious pho. When my husband’s family came in town from Utah to visit us for Thanksgiving, my husband insisted that they would need to try my pho. So I went looking for more bowls, spoons, and chopsticks (turns out most of them didn’t know how to use chopsticks). Mind you my sweet husband invited another family to join us for dinner and again convinced them that I cook the best pho. I ended up cooking a big pot of pho for 12 people. I had purchased a different set of bowls but returned them because they were too small (36oz). I have bigger bowls than these and love them; they’re perfect for all the noodles soup I make. These 40oz bowls are a bit smaller but actually have the perfect size and shape to serve your guests. Not too small, not too big, simple yet elegant enough. I would buy more!

One out of the four bowls broke the first night in the dishwasher. Which is why I gave the "Sturdiness", "Light Weight" and "Thickness" a 1 star rating. I chose these bowls because the ad stated under About This Item at the first bullet point: "SAFE AB-GRADE PORCELAN, Cadmium and Lead free, microwave, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher safe. The long-lasting material blocks moisture absorption and prevents cracking, crazing and rippling. Robust enough to withstand the rigors of daily life." All that was stated in the ad and was enough for me to think these bowls were strong and durable. I still believed that when I received my package and all 4 bowls were intact and undamaged. The bottom of the bowls even say "Microwavable and Dishwasher Safe". But the 1 bowl breaking on the first night it was put into the dishwasher has now given me doubts. We are no longer putting these bowls in the dishwasher. We instead are now hand washing these bowls. I just hope the other 3 bowls will last a little longer.

Securely packaged (although you'll have to get rid of the styrofoam block they are packed in). These are those extra capacity soup/cereal bowls you're looking for. Was a little surprised that they are lightweight and therefore maybe a little on the thin-walled side, but they are also easy to handle. If you want a thicker-edged, heavy weight bowl these might not be it. I'd prefer if they'd stack lower (i.e. sit deep within each other) but I guess it's close enough. I recommend them and would buy them again.

These bowls are great. They chip pretty easy, but careful handling will prevent that. They are durable enough to be washed in the dishwasher. They are porous and food likes to stick to them, so a pre-wash is necessary before washing them in the dishwasher to ensure that food isn't stuck to them. The bowls hold a ton of food (easily 2 or 3 portions of food in 1 bowl for me, personally) and are perfect for stir-fry bowls, ice cream, whatever you eat in a bowl. They are microwave-safe and don't burn your fingers after microwaving them. Excellent purchase for the price, I will be buying more in the future.

The TBLGT 40 Ounce bowls are reasonably priced. Come fast and very well packaged. I will keep them, but they are not as white or sturdy as DOWAN 39 Ounce bowls. We use these bowls daily for personal salads, chow mein, spaghetti and more. I recommend the DOWAN bowls over the TGLBT Bowls even tho more pricey. The bowl on the left is better.

Let me address the 'lightweight' rating first. I found it an odd option to rate. My 3 stars is not a bad thing. These are porcelain bowls and they're going to have a weight to them. They seem to be a good average weight for size of bowl, with a good hand feel. I got these for an adult child who asked for bowls for ramen or pho for a holiday present. Since he unwrapped them in front of me, I was able to see his reaction and he loved them. He's a great cook and has been in the food industry for many years in the past and he thought they were perfect for the use he intended.

The description says this bowl is oven and microwave safe. That is perfect, unless of course it's NOT oven and microwave safe. Oddly, this information is not printed anywhere on the product (would normally see that on the bottom), and it's not in the small paper flyer that comes with it. So that is why I only gave it three stars--I feel like the manufacturer is leaving off a key detail. Yeah, before you put things in the oven especially, you need to know this information for sure. Having Chinese-English translation in a few bullets on the Amazon page is not assuring. Now, IF this information were marked on the product, the star rating would increase.

I love these bowls. My dishes are white Mikasa. The bowls that come with the set are shallow and I wanted these deeper bowls for easier soup service and better for salad. These bowls are beautifully simple and feel smooth like a quality piece of porcelain. I love them!

Arrived on time and packaged well. It is little small for Pho noodle soup but great size for Ramen and buddha bowls.Happy with it!

I like the size of these bowls, they are just right for a main dish! Besides, the quality is great and surprisingly, they are ont heavy.
