These tiles are Zentangle Apprentice tiles, which means that they are 4.5 inches rather than 3.5. The material is different than the material used in traditional Zentangle tiles but it is still of very high quality. I also appreciate that I received 140 of these tiles.The extra inch provides ample room for me to practice my tangles and is also perfect for beginners and children. Graphite lays and blends quite nicely on the surface when shading tangles.While Zentangle is the intended use, the tiles have many other applications which are only limited by your imagination. I like to practice Celtic Knotwork patterns on them and I also enjoy drawing small scenic illustrations. Really, you can use them for anything you would normally use quality paper for.I have not yet used my TomBow dual brush pens on these but I have successfully used graphite, charcoal, Sakura Micron pens, graphic pens and the like without bleedthrough or other common paper type issues.I really enjoy using these and I think the adult or child artist in your family will too.I do wish I had better lighting for the images I took, but these will have to do.

This little kit provided a great way to try out a new art, and now I’m hooked. In just 15 minutes, I was able to create a mini masterpiece. And another the next day, and another and another… there is no end to the fun and satisfaction once you get started!

Got this as a starter when I wanted to try Zentangles. A good deal, good assortment.

What I like: the pens are great, wonderful for zentangle art and outlines. No bleeding and have been helpful in improving my technique.What I didn't like: the pencil is too small and does not blend as well as I would like.Overall: great starter kit and happy with purchase.

Justo lo que esperaba, el papel de gran calidad, pero se nota que estás pagando el que sea set oficial.

No es mal producto, pero me ha resultado un poco decepcionante. En la caja de cartón, tal como se ve en la imagen, vienen los pequeños cuadrados de papel (sueltos, sin ningún embalaje extra); dos rotuladores de punta gruesa (tamaño 10 pone, aunque al pintar el trazo no sea tan grande). Otros dos rotuladores de punta fina (0,5 mm); dos lápices pequeños (de los que te dan en tiendas de bricolaje para apuntar medidas) y dos difuminos pequeños de la misma medida.Si estás pensando en un regalo, puede resultar demasiado pobre... si lo quieres para tu uso personal, puede estar bien. Personalmente elegí el producto por los rotuladores, ya que la marca Sakura es buena, pensando en que el resto de cosas del paquete eran un aliciente.

Definitely only for those who are going to be teaching classes. Great hobby though.
