Inedible product
Terrible product, after opening the package, it was dense and hard as a block of wood. Totally inedible, you could lose a tooth trying to bite into it. It’s also ridiculously overpriced. I’d like to return it.

A soft nougat that tastes great and a good value.
This is an excellent soft nougat with almonds in an 8.81 oz (250 gram) version. It comes in a box that is more than 12 inches long, 2.5 inches wide 1 inch deep. It comes in a green color box from Italy. This same company (Sperlari) also produces a super hard nougat in a smaller red box (150 grams) which I could not even bite. The green box has the description "Tenero alla Mandorla" which according to another reviewer says that it is a soft nougat. This and only this version in the green box is recommended.

Hard as a rock
This is supposed to be soft nougat. Cannot cut it. It shatters. Tastes off. There was a new label placed over the back of the box with the nutritional facts, new bar code, etc. No expiration date. This bar is I edible. Contacted Amazon Customer Service and will receive a refund. At least I am grateful for that.

like this
I enjoyed every bite. By the way, remove the paper off the top and bottom. I didn't do that initially because I thought it was edible. I finally checked again on the last piece and it easily removes. Duh!

NOT SOFT BUT BRITTLE
VERY hard and brittle, although it was advertised as soft. Heated a small piece of it in the microwave, hoping it would soften the product, but the piece remained hard and brittle. Worried about breaking a tooth trying to take a bite. I want a refund.

Very brittle, very hard nougat candy
I’ve bought other nougat (torrone) from this company and it was quite good and nicely priced. These were so brittle that they are almost impossible to cut, and hard to get to dissolve in your mouth. Basically this is not what I expect from an Italian torrone. Perhaps they are defective, or maybe just a lousy recipe. I will be returning the unopened portion of this product.
