If you want a reliable and cost-effective watch, this is the one. But you have to like its orange colour!Other than that, it's excellent value for money, and a qualitative watch, I must say. easy to read, easy to use.

It fabulous. I like the size, the color and the way I feel the silicon strap on my skin. I like everything on this watch. It doesn’t cook, nor take my baby to nursery, but apart from that is perfect.

Update 13/12/22Watch strap still bright and in perfect condition, despite constant use for approximately 9 months - other brands I've bought with bright straps have looked tired and darker with that much wear and tear.Clear hair bands didn't hold well enough - I now use an elasticated hair band instead to keep my strap secure.✳️This watch looks like new still - if you can deal with the strap loop issue*, I'd highly recommend this watch✳️*You could be lucky and get better loops/Lorus might have improved the quality of the loopsUpdate 6/6/22This watch wasn't initially worn everyday, but it has been for several months.In that time, the strap colour has remained bright, but the strap loops have gone baggy. This has resulted in my watch coming off repeatedly.Unfortunately, through the watch dropping off, I've managed to lose the strap loops (despite being orange). Tbh, I've been lucky not to lose my watch.Even if I still had the strap loops, I wouldn't risk using them again. As a stopgap, I've used a piece of yoga resistance strap, as it pulls tight and grips the strap (see photo).I intend to get some of those small clear bands that people use for hair braiding as a long-term solution (now bought - see photo - watch strap now secure and the clear bands are a discreet solution).✳️If you buy this watch, then I suggest that you keep an eye on the strap loops and consider additional fastening, be it small clear hair bands or something else ✳️I've now reduced my rating to ⭐⭐⭐⭐ in view of the strap issue.***********************This is a initial review. If this watch doesn't live up to expectations, then I'll revise it.My sons have worn many Lorus watches over the years (not this model) and they've been very happy with them, so I took a chance on this watch.The watch is mounted in a plastic case, slipped into a cardboard sleeve. The watch face has a clear plastic protective disc over it to keep it free from scratches.This is quite a bulky watch, yet has a shorter strap than the Casio it replaces.The strap length isn't a problem for me, but could be for people who have bigger wrists. It's an inch shorter than my Casio.Other brands I've worn over the years have also been longer than this Lorus.I'm impressed with the double loops on the strap. Hopefully it will keep the strap end from sticking out.In normal light, the display is simple to read. However, I'm not so impressed with the night illumination. I'm used to a whole backlit display, which is very easy to read. This watch only illuminates the numbers and is not as easy to read at an angle.I hope that the strap doesn't discolour; that's always been a bugbear of my Casio and it's predecessors (orange and red watches).Every previous Lorus watch bought by my family has had a black strap, so having an orange one is a new experience.Should this strap change colour, I'll amend the review.I haven't tested the water resistance yet either. Given the rating on the watch, it should have no problems in a swimming pool.I decided to review this watch early, due to the length of the watch strap, the bulky design and the night illumination.As long as you're happy with a fatter watch and you don't have large wrists, then you won't have a problem with the watch.As for the night illumination, time will tell how annoying it will be.

I purchased this watch as a gift for my son who has Autism.He finds it easy to read, as opposed to an analogue.And orange is his favourite colour!

Very good price. Comfortable to wear. Strong to take a few knocks, reliable quick set up & easy to use. Good budget casual wear watch.

Does what I wanted, tells the time, easy to read and nice casual look

Likes:- Size- Colour- Design- Functionality- Strap materialDislikes:- Face materials- Strap too short for bigger wrists- Light is crapIn summary, I'd rather pay £10 more and have the screen made out of something better than plastic what holds children's toys in their package.Same goes for bezel and chrome-style surround. The juxtaposition of the premium feel of the strap, but the face materials is baffling.

I bought this watch via Amazon. Lorus are a famous make and very reliable. Very sturdy and very well made. HIGH quality.
