Draw the Circle: The 40 Day Prayer Challenge

This book is incredible! It doesn't exactly tell you what to pray besides "ask God what you should pray about." It's not a grocery list approach. I thought the chapters would be different prayer prompts. I am glad to say I was wrong. I have a father who does not know the Lord. So I pray for that, and there's another long /ongoing prayer about the guy I will marry. I already know him, but it's complicated.Basically, this book challenged me and encouraged me and confirmed things I'm already doing. And how God works... Even my Bible in a Year plan lined up with it! How is that even possible? God knows timing. I feel like God did that to remind me and make it SO clear to trust His divine timing for my Dad to come to Jesus and when I get to see my love again.The life examples in this book are crazy and awesome and such how God works!And if you got all the things you wanted right away, how would that glorify God? We do have to be persistent was persevere, like Paul says to count good even the trials.I have new views on physically being on my knees in prayer now. It's not about old school ways or anything anymore. It helps your heart posture. It isn't a necessity bc you can still pray eyes open and drive, but it really pushes you, and it has added humility if you've to an age/season that kneeling and getting up can take some time.Anyways, it's top notch in gleaning new things on how, where, for who, and when to pray. and big things says specific things can really glorify God.I love this.

This book has definitely taught me the power of kneeling with prayer. This book is not something you read once but something you will need to read again. My life has forever with proper posture and more Insight, wisdom, etc. Thank you Mark for your obedience to doing God's will. I am forever grateful for this experience.

Such a powerful book! I definitely would recommend it to anyone no matter what season they are going through.

Drawing the circle has forever changed me. My faith is renewed and I find myself praying several times a day. I have recommended this book to several friends andI plan to read it again.

I bought this based on a friends recommendation. I started reading it and have asked my teenager to do this with me. We have our own prayer journals as well. I am loving it so much I bought a second copy for my dear friend for her and her husband to do together. I love how each day is “easy” to read. No matter if you are young or old- it is a great book!

This is the 4th book I have ordered since from time to time I pass it on to friends that need it. It's truly a life changing book to increase your faith and prayer life.

I don’t know how to really rate nonfiction. I should probably give this a 5 star, but I did 4. Why? I don’t know. The point values are made up and the score doesn’t exist.Anyways, so many great quotes in this book and some ah-ha moments for me as well. This was great to use to challenge myself to specifically pray for 1 certain things for 40 days.“Work like it depends on you, but pray like it depends on God.” So basic, and yet so true. Want breakthrough in your relationship with food? Work like it depends on you, but pray like it depends on God. Need better organization and focus on the job? “Work like it depends on you, but pray like it depends on God.” Faith without works is dead, and this statement just helped to bring that to a real life application concisely for me.Enjoyed it. Will most likely reread this book.

Bought one for me and one for my husband. We pray together. Helps you in daily prayer and a more meaningful prayer life. Great read. When finished we intend on passing these books on to other people to enrich their prayer life.

I read this book with a group of women.Meeting at the end of each week to seal our prayers. It reinforced the crucible of Prayer being required for everything we need to prosper.Go get your copy and get a group doing this with you for 40 days. Do something different with God - expect an unusual / dumbfounding level of testimonies.

A must read! Short, easy to understand and powerful chapters. Our Life Group did it in 40 weeks! Plenty to discuss each week! Each chapter an encouragement to draw closer in our relationship with the Lord through prayer. This is one of those books one hoped would not end so soon.

It was an ok read...too much repetition...I would just order read one book from the author...or simply read Joyce Meyer
