Great Compliation
All the timeless hits are here. Some appear to be remastered, most not. But, hey, the first time you heard these were on a scratchy 78 record and this is a big improvement over those.

A great vinyl but...
A beautiful record and some amazing songs! I love this vinyl and I always play it. I would rate it 5 stars but the second vinyl wasn't cleaned.

Terrific!
I grew up in the 50's, a fan of the Ink Spots. Back then, I had at least two 45-RPM albums of their work. I've missed hearing them for 50 years. When I recently found their CDs in circulation, I bought this one and "The Golden Age of the Ink Spots: The Best of Everything". I keep them in my pickup & play them whenever I am driving. They are unique -- legends in their own time -- and I never get tired of hearing them. Thank you for bringing back a joy that I thought was lost forever.

The best of the Ink Spots
This is made from original but remastered recordings. It is a bit rough in places with recording errors but that is part of the charm of this recording. The recording methods were different then and errors happened, they weren't able to keep the things that were good in the recording and add back new places that were corrected from the original recording. I play it frequently and my wife is growing tired of hearing it so often. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys older music. You CAN EVEN UNDERSTAND THE WORDS as compared to much of the modern stuff.

Me, My Shadow, and I love the Ink Spots
How can you not love The Ink Spots?! There was nobody like them! They were a little before my time, but my brother was older than I, which gave me exposure to them while young. Beautiful, melodious voices - and that deep baritone who talks to you in the middle of the songs is as southern and warm as they come...Mmm Mmm Mmmmm, Honey Chile. There will never be any like them again!

This CD brought back memories from when I was a child in New Orleans and the Ink Spots were on the radio all the time. During WWII Mardi Gras parades and the Carnival season were cancelled. I recall the day the parades started again and I was waiting with my mother for the parade to come and loudspeakers from somewhere kept playing over and over "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire."

Best of the Ink Spots - a value
Bought this for what I consider a very fair price, although it was the MP3 version. Enjoy the familiar favorites as well as several songs I wasn't familiar with (Ink Spots were popular before I was born)
