Harley-Davidson WLA: The Main US Military Motorcycle of World War II (Legends of Warfare: Ground, 15)

This is a terrific history for Harley Davidsons and details the development and innovations for wartime use across the globe. These were as the title suggests “Legends of ground warfare”. (I may be biased as my son in law is a good researcher and author!).

This book has lots of old pictures and a lot of information.

Library book. No purchase. Very interesting. Not the world's biggest HD fan, but I do respect their longevity and their near mythical status w many US motorcycle cognoscenti. WWII tales are also very welcome in this home. If you are a big HD fan and also love WWII history you can't go wrong with this very interesting tome. Lots of very, very good photos. The WLA figured very prominently throughout the war in all theaters and used by many different nations. It served, as did the troops who rode them, with distinction and honor. Book does a good job illustrating that fact, too. Printed in China. That, to me, is a darn shame. American icon deserves a US printed book.

This is an great addition to my library.
