Solid, forged hammer... Nearly pro-level tool. Enough said, almost
Solid forged, single piece hammer... which I insist on since hammer head came off a cheapie I was using and whizzed by my ear... Other than that, its a hammer. It works. It drives nails. A+.COMPARED to cheapie hammers most DIYer's have (which are usually oval or round hollow tubular neck with attached hammer head)... It's a bit heavier, which takes a bit getting used to; but I like the extra weight. Balance is good, grip feels right in the hand.Only thing I can think of to say critically is that the neck feels a bit thinner than tubular neck - it is, but it's solid forged steel & many times stronger than the tube necks... it just 'feels' too thin to be strong enough. It may not be pro-level hammer, but its closer to that end of the scale than to the consumer hammers most of us have in our toolset. Definitely RECOMMENDED, at this price its a (pardon the pun) steel ...

Great Hammer - I couldn't have done better.
I keep certain basic tools for my own personal use for household repairs & a good hammer is one of them. I am so pleased with this one. I especially like the one-piece construction which eliminates the hazard of the head flying off. It is more weightier than my previous hammer, thus requires less effort & time. It is certainly a very good value for the price. I would definitely purchase it again should it decide to run off to be with my previous one. And I most certainly do recommend it for a good sturdy hammer.

one pound 12 ounces
Many magazine reviews I read liked this hammer but listed its weight around 2 lbs which seemed too heavy.I bought it from Amazon anyway and weighed it when it arrived. To my pleasant surprise it weighed onlyone pound 12 ounces which is very close to an Estwing 16 oz hammer. The hammer itself seems well built. I am not thrilled with the finger grooves but the hammer is stillcomfortable and accurate. Overall a good buy.

Solid choice
Pretty good hammer for the money. Some rough edges, but seems pretty well made. Probably not the right choice if you’re in construction for a living, but plenty good for general use by a homeowner. I like the fact that’s it’s a solid piece of steel....no chance of the head flying off.

If I had a hammer....no more!
Excellent product and at an excellent price! The hammer is on the heavy side, sturdy, yet quite well balanced. The grip is made of a rubber-like material, sturdy and doesn’t slip easily. Quite the bargain, thank you guys!!

IF YOU EVER FIND YOURSELF POUNDING THINGS INTO WHATEVER WITH WHATEVER BUY A THIS AND BE SAFE
It’s a nice hammer with a reasonable weight. If you’ve been pounding nails (or whatever with whatever), be smart and safe and get yourself am actual device meant for pounding (AKA hammering) before you have an accident. BTW, no pic because it’s just a hammer.

Mexican Thor
So my brother in law is Mexican. Super guy. So when I asked my sister what to get him for Christmas little did I know that she had just the thing. Apparently a handy man took his good hammer. “Seriously... he sent about 30 min complaining that he thought their last handy person took his good hammer... You can tell a good hammer cuz it’s all one piece of metal....blah blah blah 😂”Not only was this a good hammer, when I video chatted with him on Christmas Day, he declared that he had become Mexican Thor.Get this hammer!
