Ordered from Amazon Warehouse - sceptical as it was flagged as 'Acceptable' condition. Was expecting it to look well used, and was prepared to send back if too bad. In fact, although it was used, could tell by a few coffee grinds that had materialised during transport, I cannot find a single scratch on it, and basically looks new. All of these are marked as 'Acceptable' in the warehouse, so I assume it is a standard practice for this type of machine. It came with instructions and everything it should do. Instructions are important due to the process you need to follow to get into the setup menu.Still experimenting with coffee and settings, but so far, so good. We like our coffee hot, which is a problem with this machine and many others from what I read. There is a brew heat setting, we have this on max, and the coffee itself is hot. Not scalding. Milk is the problem. Straight from fridge, it produces luke warm milk. While the coffee is being made, we decant required milk into a small jug, quick 30 - 50 sec blast in microwave, depending on how much milk you have, to get it to room temperature'ish, and now the machine produces hot milk. Its just a matter of getting used to doing things in the right order to save time. NB. If you preheat the milk too much, it will boil as it goes through the milk wand, and not work properly.The milk comes out very creamy with quite a fluffy top. I personally prefer the dense creamy milk, so for me, I have the milk go into another small jug, and I hold the lighter frothy stuff back as I pour it. My wife takes it as it comes.It sounds a phaff, but honestly it is still quicker than my old machine where I needed to manually steam the milk.I cleaned for the first time at the weekend. Really it is straight forward and simple for the weekly clean requirements.Some people complain about the drip tray filling up quickly. It does, because the end of use cleaning cycle dispenses water into the drip tray from inside the machine. Honestly, it slides out easily, and a quick rinse in the sink all is good. It could do with some baffles to stop the fluid slopping around, as the tray is long, but go carefully and all is well.

Good:- coffee tastes amazing- good quality plastics used- easy to use- great cleaning circlesBad:- it sometimes leaks a bit of water from somewhere at the back. Can’t pinpoint the issue- this is not a cheap machine and it requires you to also clean and descale it quite often but if you buy Melitta products to do this the cost of ownership goes up exponentially.

Works well. Simple to operate and maintain, good price compared to the unreliable, expensive Miele that it replaced. Not as many settings, but everything I need and great tasting coffee!

Made a couple of very good coffees then bricked itself immediately, refusing to grind anything. Called Melitta support at 4.30 on Friday only to be told they shut at 5 and to go away. Obviously unacceptable.Tried to return it and Amazon generated me a QR code for the post office, who then told me it was too heavy and they would not return it. This machine died and will not go away.Absolutely useless garbage - do not buy.
