I have a receding hairline and not necessarily balding yet, but I keep my hair so short that I use more toothpaste brushing my teeth than than shampoo washing my hair, so I decided to join the bald headed club for a bit. I wanted to retire my Gillette in the attempt to save on blades and plastic waste, and there is something about shaving with these older style razors that I find "relaxing". So I did a lot of research to find a good quality DE razor and eventually ended up with this German piece of brilliance. It is very solid and have a nice weight to it, it is super sharp even though the blades that comes with it is considered medium aggressive. I am new to DE shaving and I am used to the Gillette cartridges so needles to say it comes with a learning curve, especially if you are like me that is a bit impatience when shaving and sort of rushing the blades. That you cannot do with this, I have managed to get nicks and cuts on the sides and back of my head and they are not like those tiny cuts you could get from a cartridge, they are gushers. Not as easy as it looks, but I am getting there, improving my techniques every time. This razor I can see how some people will find a bit too heavy and hard to hold, but I think once you find the way of shaving and letting the weight of the razor do its job and listen to the shaver cutting, you barely have to hold the razor at all and just guide it through and steer the razor where you need it to be, slowly with no pressure. I cannot compare this to other razors since this is my first one, but I can tell it is a solid nice razor not a cheaper made version. I am struggling a bit with the shave but that is not the fault of the razor, it is doing what it is supposed to, so if you are new to DE razors don't expect it to be the same experience as a cartridge razor, it will take longer to shave but the close shave you will get with this is hard to beat if you are doing it properly. Make sure you use a good shaving cream/lather to avoid irritation, never shave dry with this DE razors. I might have to look in to a "safety razor" which is a DE razor with an additional skin guard unless I can figure this razor technique out.

Great quality. I've actually bought another one recently to give as a gift. I've had mine for...a year? Maybe? I've used it in the shower, have dropped it in the sink(cat), knocked it on the floor(also cat). It's beautiful and clean and as good as the first time I used it. Good grip, good angle, good weight.

I’ve been use double edged butterfly razors for nearly 20 years. I usually buy one with an internal screw with threading that you twist from the bottom to open the balde casing. I’ve gone through a couple of these because they tend to be made cheap and sold at ridiculous prices. I wanted one that wasn’t going to fall apart on me in the next two or three years. My wife and I were searching simultaneously when she found this razor. I didn’t order it immediately rather I kept shopping and reading reviews. The reviews on this product where limited, four to be exact. What ultimately led to my purchase is that these razors are made by a small family company in Germany. I also like a good straight razor shave and own a couple of different straight razors. When I compared my American straight razor to my German kriegar straight razor and my antique razor passed down from my great x 2 grandfather who was a barber in Germany, I found that my American straight razor wouldn’t hold an edge and found myself needing to fix the edge on a regular bases. It’s part of a display now and I only use my German made straight razors. Overall I like the way this double edge razor is built and assembles. I did a test shave with my shave soap and it felt amazing. I'm new to safety razors and read several reviews before buying this one. First it's made in Germany, not China which was a positive for me. I just tried it, having used Gillette Fusion razors for years. No nicks or cuts, just a smooth shave. I took my time, and used the nice heavy weight of the razor do the work. I have very coarse facial hair, so some pressure had to be applied at times, but patience seemed to be the key as well as proper angle. I am sooo excited about this product and move away from plastic disposable razors. I also find the looks to be very pleasing, and looks nice on my stand.Update: The blades are not the same quality as the Japanese Feather Blades. After using the 5 blades that came with the kit, I was beginning to question my choice as after the first shave, I had several cuts from shaving using default blades except for last shave with them. The Japanese Feather blades are much smoother and had much less drag on my coarse facial hair. I still highly recommend the razor but make sure to get different blades. Your experience may vary. I was only using the default blades for two shaves, one from each side.

I learned to shave using safety razors then switched to Gillette trac razors for many years before they (Gillette / Procter & Gamble) decided it would be fun to insult and mock me with their sanctimonious advertising. I bought a Merkur safety razor and threw the fusion into the shaving travel kit. The Merkur is fine but I never really liked it, not helped by someone at the fullfillment center switching the model I ordered with a much less expensive model using the original box. After shaving with the fusion recently while on a trip I couldn’t believe how lousy it really is. Lousy advertising, lousy product. Looking for something different I decided to give the Wldoho a try. It’s a beautiful razor and is constructed and feels in the hand like you imagine a razor should feel: heavy but balanced - a substantial tool that’s a pleasure to use. The Merkur has replaced the fusion in the shaving kit and the Wldoho is the everyday razor. It’s fairly aggressive so a light touch is fine except where the stubble is a little tougher. I believe my search for the perfect DE razor is finally completed.

Ich bin so froh, dass ich auf diese Alternative umgestiegen bin. Die Klingen von meinem alten Plastikrasierer waren schon lange stumpf. Ich stand jedes Mal wieder vor den Rasierklingen im Supermarkt, aber bin kopfschüttelnd ohne neue Rasierklingen wieder aus dem Laden.Viel zu teuer. Viel zu viel Müll.Ich war sehr skeptisch gegenüber den Rasierhobeln auf Amazon und habe lange überlegt. Ich fand diese Edelstahlrasierer blöd und sah es praktisch vor mir, wie er mir bei jedem Duschen wieder aus der Hand rutscht. Auch die Bambusrasierer gefielen mir nicht. Diese sind auch nicht so optimal wie behauptet, da Bambus mit der Zeit aufreißt. Dies ist zwar nicht der Verarbeitung, aber der Beschaffenheit von Bambus geschuldet. Nachhaltigkeit hin oder her, ein Rasierer sollte auch langlebig sein. Was bringt ein nachhaltiger Bambus Rasierer, wenn ich alle paar Monate einen neuen brauche?Doch dann fand ich diesen Rasierer von WLDOHO. Aus härtestem Ebenholz, gewachst, Rostfrei und ohne Plastik! Und was soll ich sagen? Ich bin begeistert. Er fühlt sich gut an, liegt durch das Holz schön in der Hand und hat genau die richtige Länge.

I've used this a few times since buying it and I'm very impressed. It's got a lovely weight to it and a nice design. Comes with 5 blades and refills are super cheap. I don't think I'll go back to my old mach 3 turbo.

Die Grundidee, Design und Umweltverträglichkeit ist gut. Allerdings bin ich enttäuscht von der schlechten Handhabung...das Gewinde löst sich während der Benutzung, man muss den Hobel in einem ganz bestimmten Winkel halten, damit die 01mm überstehende Klinge eine Chance hat das Haar zu erwischen und dann muss man mehrmals drübergehen...das heisst rasieren dauert ewig und die Haut ist danach deutlich irritiert. Habe mir vorher verschiedene Beiträge durchggelesen und Videos angesehen...und den Hobel auch mehrmals benutzt. Trotzdem bin ich von diesem Modell nicht überzeugt..und möchte mein Geld zurück. Es war nirgends eine Kontaktadresse der Firma rauszukriegen im Netz, sonst hätte ich sie direkt kontaktiert. In der Verpackung war nur eine Karte mit dem Hinweis bitte bewerten Sie uns auf Amazon. Dies ist hiermit geschehen.

Dadurch, dass ich mich in der letzten Zeit immer mehr mit dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit beschäftigt habe, war es irgendwann klar, dass ich mir einen Rasierhobel zulegen werde. Nach einigen Recherchen habe ich mich für diesen hier entschieden (Vorteile: schönes Design, Nachhaltigkeit und der Holzgriff, welcher mir doch rutschsicherer vorkam, als welche komplett aus Edelstahl).Das Auspacken war bereits eine Freude, unglaublich schön und elegant ist der Rasierhobel und wurde nachhaltig verpackt.Der Zusammenbau war kinderleicht und die erste Benutzung folgte prompt. Nach der ersten Unsicherheit merkte ich, wie einfach die Benutzung ist und dass ich den Rasierhobel (trotz vorheriger Skepsis) wirklich für die komplette Rasur nutzen konnte - ja auch der komplette Intimbereich, ohne dass ich mich verletzt habe oder das Gefühl hatte, der Rasierer sei unsicherer als ein 'herkömmlicher' Rasierer. Außerdem war die Wahl des Holzgriffes wirklich ideal, der Hobel liegt bombenfest in der Hand, dazu bleibt die Klinge auch fest und wackelt nicht (wie bei anderen Modellen teilweise kritisiert).Fazit: Ich bin sehr zufrieden, ein tolles Unternehmen. Eindeutig eine Kaufempfehlung und ich freue mich den Rasierhobel weiterhin und lange in der Zukunft zu nutzen!
