Good Price for a Solid Rack
The CAP Barbell Olympic Plate Rack is a quality piece of equipment and it arrived generally well packaged. There was a flake of paint chipped off the apex, and I notice another reviewer was concerned about this. But I expect to see a lot more chipping and scratching of this rack as I use it over the years, so from a practical perspective, it's not an issue. At 25 pounds (most of it bottom-loaded because, you know, it's a triangle with feet), it has some heft. So the rack is solid and sturdy--a lot sturdier than I might have expected from the ad images. It does not wobble or vibrate in the least. Assembly was easy: just four bolts. While the welds are not the cleanest I've ever seen, they seem solid. As you can tell from the photos, the iron weights I use fit on the rack without any overlap. On the side with two pegs, I have my 45 lbs and a couple of my 25 lbs. On the other side, I keep 2.5, 5, and 10 lb weights. As set up in the photos, it's holding 240 lbs. I'm confident it can hold quite a bit more. There is a gap of at least a couple of fingers-width between all of the racked plates. I would not recommend this rack for bumper plates because they would overlap. But if you read the description in the ad, they point this out. The price was right and for an economy choice, this might be the best plate rack on Amazon. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Yes
We got this CAP rack to hold our CAP Olympic plate weights (5s, 10s, 25s and 45s). The price is right and it's sturdy and well-made and fits the CAP plates perfectly. No problems. All it took to set it up was putting two leg brackets on with four bolts. Of all the things we've had to assemble, this has to be one of the quickest and simplest. Use your wrench because it doesn't cinch down by hand and real tools make all assembly jobs easiest. We keep finding ourselves coming back to the CAP weightlifting products and they have never let us down. We don't have other plates from other lines on the rack so we can't speak to the fit on those. Also, we aren't storing any single weights over the 2-45s but it's holding a pretty good accumulative amount of weight. We are very happy with this plate rack and so glad to have the plates off the floor. This is much more practical and safer. The price was one of the lowest we found, if not the lowest.

It holds weight
Simple design, easy to assemble with only 4 nuts and bolts, sturdier than it seems it would be. It holds my 300 pound Fitness Gear set perfectly, with room to add more. The 45 and 35 lb plates fit nicely on one side, while the three other posts hold the 25, 10, and 5 plates. The inner posts work well for the little 2.5 plates and clamps. Yours may fit differently, or some not at all, compared to my Dick's budget set with smaller 45 plates. Doesn't wobble or shake though. It sits solid and I have no fear of it being knocked over or collapsing. Also doesn't take up much space. Only complaint would be about packaging/shipping; the top point of the tree was poking through the box and caused some of the paint to be scraped off. Not enough for me to care about, so no stars lost there. Overall would recommend for the function and price.

Excellent value product with a very silly flaw
The tree is working excellent for the ease of putting it together and the cost to purchase. However, out of the box, it has the strangest flaw. You cannot place two full width bumper plates on the top and bottom of the same side. I use Rogue HG 2.0 Bumper plates, meaning they all have the same diameter. Out of the box, I could really only use 1 peg on each side. The reason I saw its a silly flaw is that the bar as the space for a proper mounting to make this work. I drilled a hole 1 1/4 inch lower than the existing bottom hole (as suggested by others in these reviews) and voila, it works fine. If this can be done on the same hardware so easily why do they not simply ship it that way? Regardless, once drilled it works great (you need to drill just slightly larger than a 3/8 drill bit. If you drill a 3/8 hole and angle the bit around to enlarge it a tad it will work). Another strange design quirk (as mentioned in other reviews as well) is that the Hex Key that comes in the package is too large to properly tighten the top pegs. You cannot make it fit. I had to use a Dremel and cut mine down, and then it worked perfectly. So to make this work well for me, I needed a power drill, titanium bits, a Dremel and some metal cutting wheels for it. Thats a lot. But once done, it works wonderfully. The two 45's on the bottom overhand the peg, however they stay sturdy with a pretty good thud, so I think they are stable enough for my home gym.

Excellent
I just built a home gym. Got this weight rack to keep everything organized and easier to lift off a rack than the floor! I have 45 and 35s on one side, 25s and 10s on the other side and 5 and 2.5s in the middle. I have a total of 352.5 pounds on this. It holds them extremely well and i have confidence in the sturdiness of the product Very easy to put together. You only have to attack the bottom supports. The screws, nuts and washers are included. Only 4 of each. You do need to use your own wrench tho. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Fantastic price too

Quick, easy and holds the weight
This plate rack was number 3 of trial and error. Not to say that I am picky ( I am), but the rack needed to do primarily three things; save space, build completely, and hold the weight. This rack did all three perfectly, here is why: This rack has a flat profile fitting on the floor along a wall in limited space. Not triangular, not round, nothing hanging in the way. I have 280lbs on this rack that fits perfectly and holds the weight very well. This rack is only THREE pieces, two feet and the primary rack angle. Bolts through the feet into the rack, and done (maybe five minutes build time total from opening the box to disposing the box in the recycling). Unlike many other racks, the weight holder arms are welded to the frame, not screwed on in some less than desirable fashion that sags under the weight is supposed to hold (reason #2 why 2 other racks were returned). Last but not least, profile. I needed this rack to hold weight out from behind my bench area due to limited space. This rack has flat profile with a lot of storage room for plates of all sizes. I recommend roughly 260-280lbs for this rack and you will have no issues. With the flat profile, I have set it on the floor next to my wall between two dumbbell stands. I have plenty of space to take plates off and on the rack without bumping everything on and around the rack. This rack cost a couple of dollars more than the two I returned, but worth every penny, and I should have gone with it from the start. This rack is perfect for me in my space available, I think you will like it as well. I recommend this weight rack.

Great product for a good price.
I have a set of BFCO plates ranging from 5-45 (2 Each) & a set of VTX plates 2.5-45 (2 Each) I have everything on here with no overlapping. I mean it has 7 Pegs. 45,35,25,10,5,& 2.5 is 6. Not sure why people can't fit their plates on here. The VTX 25's are the only plates noticeably larger than the BFCOs. Everything else is the same diameter or close enough not to mention a difference. I put 45's (X4) on the bottom 2-peg side, with 25's (4X) above them. 35's (4X) on the bottom 3-peg side,10's (4X) in the middle,& 2.5's (2X) above them. Then I put the 5's (4X) on the bottom center peg,& the locks on the top center pegs. Now I could've put the 5's over the 10's,but it would've been touching a bit. But why even try to do that, when you have the 2 center pegs that easily accommodate small plates? Yes some brands are larger than others. But like another reviewer said, just adjust them until you get a fit that works for you. I tried 1 of the 5's over the 10's,& saw it was too close. So I immediately put the 5's on the bottom center peg. So everything fits fine. It's not rocket science. & its sturdy & saves plenty of space & makes things easier when picking up plates. I see absolutely no reason to put the 5's over the 10's if they don't fit. Looks like I could even put the 35's on the side with the 45's,but there's no point in that for Me. You have more space with the 25's over the 45's,for easy removing/replacing. & no problem removing/replacing the 35's. The 10's above don't pose a problem. & plus they're 10's! Also that bottom center peg looks like it could accommodate as big as 35's,for people who have more than 4. The other pegs can hold 5-6 max for 45/35/25,depending on your brand. 5 for these 2 brands I have. Then 3 more 10's with these I have. But 8 total if I had all BFCO. Plenty of space for more 5's & 2.5's.

For the price paid, I am very happy with this rack!
I did not really have high expectations, but am actually quite impressed! It is a pretty sturdy setup especially when you get some plates on it. It keeps the weights stored nicely. I have about 300 lbs on it now. Some reviews talk about the roominess of the rack and placement of the pegs, how larger sized plates would only fit on certain pegs, the middle peg not really having enough room for a big plate, and that middle peg being in the way for placing a larger plate on the top of that side. I took care of that problem with a cut-off wheel and now it is perfect (see photos) -- HA! ;-)

Great value but check you can fit plates
Very happy for the price but which the lower poles were fixed a little lower for plate clearance.
