I was looking for a small radio for my kitchen. This small, but mighty, unit checked all the boxes I needed it to. The option of radio, CD, and aux was just what I wanted. The sound quality is good. It fits right on my counter. And I was happy with the color choices.

My main CD player was a Sony CMT BX1,which I had for years, but like every Sony CD player I ever owned, after a while, I was disappointed with the build quality. This time the feeder tray wouldn't open, so the CD I have inside is trapped and can't get out, and naturally, I can't put a different CD in. So....what to do? Do I want to go thru the time, frustration, and unknown expense of a repair ? Or, do I take the easy way out and go to Amazon and find a suitable stopgap replacement at a reasonable cost. I found it with this Jensen. With the manual front loading, I know I won't have to worry if an electronic part fails, like my Sony, and have feeding/extraction problems. My only complaint with this Jensen is that there is no bass/treble adjustment. (the Sony has that), so the sound is kind of a one size fits all thing. I would rather adjust the bass. However, I judge the sound output to be acceptable for what it is. I have used this CD player for a month now, and I don't have any problems with it as of yet. I would recommend this model for those wanting a CD player, and don't want to pay $300.00 for one, such as the N.O.S. (new old stock) Sony CMT BX1 listed here . If you are looking for portability, this Jensen will fill the bill. You can shoe-horn it in anywhere. You can use batteries, or, use the wall wart for AC power.

Is great for the price. The sound is not great but good enough. I was so pleased that I bought a second one as a present for my brother. He is also pleased. Cool design and very practical.

This is just what I was looking for! The sound is just enough for our little kitchen, and I love the vertical design and it only takes up a small space on the counter.

I bought it for my mother so she could listen to the Bible on CD... The Bible CD set does not play on this Jensen Home CD player system... Since she needed a CD player, not a radio, I am only giving this a three star rating.
