I bought this to prevent our cat from getting out of the front door when people came to check on her while we were away. She is a house cat and has been for 14 years and so if she got out, it could be a disaster. We are looking after her for our son, who is in hospital. There is no assembly required and the gate fits our hallway perfectly. (The hall is over 75 inches wide). The gate is 3 feet tall. It is sturdy enough and high enough to prevent our cat from getting round or over it. It is also an attractive piece of furniture. I could not have found anything more perfect for what we wanted. It has sopped us worrying while we are away from home.

Our English Bulldog was sleeping on our sofas while we were out, so I decided to corner off part of the kitchen. I stumbled across this free standing pet gate. I thought it was a bit pricey but decided to give it a go. I'm absolutely amazed by how beautiful it is, it fits in with our decor beautifully, it's sturdy and definitely stopped our stubborn bull dog from getting to the sofas, really pleased with this purchase, well worth the money....

Nicely heavy and stable, keeps my Labrador out of places he shouldn’t be. I’ll be using for the Christmas tree next! Looks attractive too. Good value.

I used this product to block the stairs to prevent my dog going upstairs after surgery. The reason for the 4 stars is that it is very heavy and needs securing. If it fell on a pet it could cause injury.

Absolutely brilliant. The gate is well made and sturdy enough that our dog cannot push it over. It is so flexible in use we can put it top ,middle or bottom of the stairs and use it to stop our dog from going in certain areas of the house. Delivery was quick and I would definitely recommend this product.The Christmas tree will be safe this year from the little terror.

A really well made sturdy product which will help us keep our new puppy retained in certain rooms or areas and to stop her constantly antagonising our older dog. Looks neat & stylish too, glad I splashed out on this rather than a metal one. Easy to move around and expand or retract as you need. I feel this product is worth every penny and highly recommend to anyone considering purchasing it

Bought this for my ten week old Cockapoo to put across the doorway rather than using a crate at night. Pointless. Sturdy enough and easy to move about but doesn’t provide the security needed. Within a matter of minutes the pup consistently manages to find his way out, even nearly pushed it over. Might be okay for a miniature dog but rubbish for any pup over about 5kg.

This has been an amazing pet gate for our house. It is very smooth and looks very high end. I have seen others with not great experiences with this gate, and I am not sure what is the difference because the one we received is outstanding! We did get the white 4 panel one and I have noticed that many people with bad experiences seem to have gotten the darker color. I am not sure if maybe that color way is built differently but the white version has been excellent. I highly recommend! It is very tall and nice so you don’t have to bend over to open it. It matches very nicely with our decor and has yet to show any type of distress or problems.

Ein schweres , trotzdem elegantes Absperrgitter , daß sich nicht so leicht verschieben läßt . Ich benutze es , um meinen Katzen den Zugang zum Keller über die offene Treppen zu gewähren .Ich habe es so aufgestellt , daß sie nicht fokusieren können , wo sie hinspringen . Sie waren not amused . Es steht jetzt schon gut sechs Wochen da und sie haben noch nicht herausgefunden , wie sie es überwinden könnten . Unbedingt empfehlenswert . Man könnte - bei kleinen Kindern und Hunden eventuell noch über eine einseitige Wandbefestigung und auf der anderen Seite ein Schließmeschanismus , dann wäre es noch sicherer .

I found nothing to complain about with this gate. It was shipped with great packing, perfect condition. Easy to use, looks very nice in the house. I like it a lot. The problem is that my two new and agile six month old kittens love it too. They learned to sail right over it. So I’ve had to use it as discouragement with a six foot folding room divider backing it up. It does keep them from climbing the room divider. Maybe when they’re more settled the gate will be enough, I think it would work to dissuade a less determined cat.

This is an attractive gate that is sturdy for an average dog that isn't super aggressive about getting into a space. It is free standing, so doesn't attach to walls and can get pushed over if your dog is pretty large. We got this to put in front of our Christmas tree to stop our dog from removing ornaments. It worked well. However, note that the gate folds accordion style. We wanted to form a semi circle around one side of our tree. It did not fold in a way that did this very easily. My husband is handy and replaced the hinges with hinges that can fold either way. That way we were able to vary the configuration to suit our needs. Would recommend this gate if your needs can be met with the given limitations above.
